So how should fans voice their frustration with the handling of the QB spot?

You can forget about doing it on any radio show. They'll just cut you off. Same as if you go to Walkons or TJ ribs to get Miles live, aint happenin, they'll cut your mic.

So that leaves one real option. LSU raised ticket prices again last year, Miles is the 4th highest paid coach in the land.

Maybe the student section can make a huge sign to hold up that says "WE'RE BOOING MILES"

Having a new membership and less posts than you means one thing, you need to go outside when the sun is shining one day, and stop ordering pizzas and piling the empty boxes higher than you own head when standing, and find a woman

Shows how much of a dumbass you are. The option is THE ONLY REASON that we are running for 180 yards per game. How do you think Ridley is getting all his yards up the gut?? I know you can't answer that, because I can tell by your post that you have no football IQ.

It is the only play in our offensive playbook at the moment that is succesfully stretching the field horizontally.

Someone else must have read the great piece on Saturday Night Slant LINK

Great article with valid points regarding the option AS WELL AS the case for LEE!

I can only speak for myself. I booed one time and it was when we ran the option on 3rd and long. And I was drinking crown pretty heavy, if not, I probably wouldn't have.

I sure wish people would understand that. WE WERE BOOING MILES.

I wish you would understand that the reason fans are invited to be in the stadium is to SUPPORT the team not to BOO the coaches. It's called etiquette, class and knowing what your proper role is in when you set foot inside that stadium. You and others like you are embarassing our damn strong university, my alma mater, on national television.

I suppose you think that if you buy the bride and groom a wedding gift you have the right to boo the shite out of the wedding coordinator if something goes wrong at the wedding.

So when an AD finally gets around to firing a football coach. IS HE FIRING LSU? When Miles dismissed Perrilloux from the team, was he dismissing LSU? When MIles buries a player for being critical is he burying LSU? When a team runs the ball repeatedly on 3rd and 8 do you cheer? Why not? ARe you just silent then? ARe you ignoring the play. If you are, you're ignoring LSU. I may agree though, that when you accept Miles' mediocrity with your silence, you are accepting mediocrity for LSU.

I can draw you a picture with crayons if its easier, but I think you might see there's a difference between these situations & an actual football game (against a ranked BCS opponent that we're winning, nonetheless).

I'm with Guilbea; fans like you are overrated.

The point is, everyone insists it's jsut the coaches that are being booed and it's bullshite. Jefferson was getting it too.

You're out of your mind. Those boos were directed at Jefferson. He couldn't make the throws. He was booed.

Those throws were 10-15 yard throws.

People charge admission for weddings these days? Damn... I got married in January and missed a profit opportunity.

It was a decent piece, but what fails in the argument is the underlying presumption that there are not potentially better plays to stretch the field horizontally (Shepard sweep anyone?). Quick flares (mentioned in article).

As shocking as it may be, there are more ways to stretch the field, using our assets, then the option. Give it to someone average 7 yards a carry or 2.4. Tough call apparently.

I think Guilbeau blew this one out of the water the other day: if you weren't booing Jefferson, why did you cheer when Lee went in?

uh, not really

Boo, Miles for the bad decision of continually doing the same thing, and getting the same result

Cheer, Miles for a least taking the step in the direction of trying something different

Huh????

Guilbeau and you can't figure out that people boo to express displeasure with Miles's decision to keep playing Jefferson then express approval and excitement when he finally relents???

I doubt that there were more than a handful of people booing Jefferson instead of Miles's decision to stick with Jefferson. Easy enough to understand.

Don't know chicken. Morrow is the normal spelling in NELA. Never paid attention to the spelling. Still haven't heard what all was said. Also can we call boo something else, I'm tired of reading that word. It's everywhere

This is such horseshite.

First of all, no one is buying your ex-post facto rationalization, we all know drunks in the stands don't like what they're seeing, they "boo". They just direct it down to the field.

the fact is that the players are kids or young men that are down on the field. No matter who you want to think you are booing, the effect to the players on the field is magnified. They simply don't want to hear it. they don't want to think the fans are booping them because the fans don't like them, and they don't want to think the fans are booing the coaches because THEY HAVE TO HAVE CONFIDENCE IN WHAT THE COACHES ARE DOING, if they don't, 1999 happens.

In short, the players see the coaches as part of the team. Si f you say you're not booing the team, you're booing the coaches, it doesn't make any sense.

Ideally the FANS should also consider themselves as part of the team and as such lend support through the good and the bad, and don't go around pointing fingers at players who screw up.

Be an adult.

If you want perfect play and perfect coaching, quit following college football and pick a pro team to follow.
