Harris will not put up those type #'s in A les Miles offense

Harris numbers as a reserve in the 2 games before Aub,:

320 yds passing, 72% completion rate, 5 TDs, a passing EFF of 250, with 60 yds rushing and 2 TDs.

Seems like pretty outstanding numbers to me by Harris considering it was in a back up role.

Now, you are right bout the RBs getting the ball and that seems like smart football to me, but if Harris can throw without ints. I see no reason to think he will not be allowed to since Mett threw a lot with a pretty good run game in 2013.

After watching that rerun of 81 Sugar Bowl for NC with Ga and ND Georgia wins it riding Hercial Walker only completing 1 pass. I had forgot how bad the QB was and still got championship. I feel much better now lol.

Had Lee come out and played well against Bama JJ would have never started a game in 2011

He started playing JJ in the UK game. and got more and more reps the following games even though Lee was still doing very well... Just sayin. Now Bama had one of the best Ds ever in 2011.even better than LSU'S. He made the switch against them and the LSU D won that game. JJ ran the option just good enough to get us into FG position... Lees confidence aftr that was shot.. Miles didn't give him another chance o build it back up the rest of the season.... All I am saying is that don't be surprised that AJ gets reps as soon as he gets back.... As far as going with the hot hand??? Charles Scott had over 100 yds against UK in 2007 IN THE 1ST HALF.Didn't see the field in the 2nd half and it cost LSU the game IMO.

All your posts are are consistently about how Miles sucks, the Sharks been jumped and LSU is screwed.

You need to re-read my posts....I have said on many occasions that I think Miles is a top 5 coach in the country. And I am such a GOOD fan that 8-5 last year was bullshite with the talent we had and the way it was used...

just quit if you hate for Miles makes you giddy at the prospect of LSU's demise

Find ONE post of mine where I have said this..............

I feel very good !! Aj struggled and I get the ridicule but he did improve some late n the season and didn't have the wr experience that mett had when he put up similar numbers but turned a corner big time vs bama. Who btw put similar stats up with quite a bit more coaching and nick experience. I do believe Harris wins job and if he gets the offense down watch out. But Both were super young and inexperienced and I believe we can contend with either

Offense isn't changing. I predict a bunch of close wins and several head-scratching losses.

I don't often agree with Peej, but that post is spot on. I see him pulling the same crap as he did in 2011 as soon as the legal system releases his guy, regardless of how well the team is doing.

I'm not super high on the defense as others. They can be good, but I don't know about dominant. We have talent, but we are inexperienced at key spots

What spots?

DE -- Bower is a reliable returning rotation guy. Neal, Clark, and Bain are a little inexperienced, but DE isn't a tough position to learn like safety or mlb.

DT - Returning starters.

LB - Returning starters everywhere

Safety - Returning starters

Corner - Tre White is a returning starter, Ed Paris played a lot last year, Dwayne Thomas is a very experienced and talented nickle.

In college football this is about as good as it gets in terms of experience.

I don't think we'll be favored against Auburn. We'll get the 3 point home advantage, but still be a 2-3 point dog, IMO.

Correct, but did he start? He would have continued to play a lot, yes, but Lee would have been the first guy on the field in every game had he not thrown the 2 picks against Bama.

I think when AJ comes back he will play in a backup role, but if BH is consistent and winning games Les won't all of a sudden do an about face and change starting QB's.

Is this the thread where everyone forgets the meltdown that occurred when LSU hired Steele as the DC?

What changed?

Returning 15 starters, many skill players on offense were freshman, the experience alone is what many underestimate the value of. Fans get excited about incoming recruits, but the history and facts say that experience plays a significant role in ANY walk of life. For those reasons we WILL show improvement! How much remains to be seen.

Do you have a hunch that our QB play will be much better?

Because without that, we're looking at a repeat of last season, regardless of everything else.
