to everyone who doesnt live in baton rouge:

how dare you say baton rouge is "whining" about everything. if you dont live and work here, then you dont understand what its like here right now. PERIOD. 40-50% percent of the city still does not have power. traffic lights at every major intersection are out and causing 20-30 minute waits just to get through the intersection. every restaurant, store, etc that IS actually open has 3-4x multiplied their usual customer flow because everything else is closed. and whatever is open closes at 8 or earlier because of the stupid fricking curfew that hasnt been lifted yet. this causes hours of waiting to get any supplies. there are still trees and power lines downed everywhere, people still have tarps on their roofs. i could go on and on. the national media is not portraying this to be as bad as it really is. so if you dont live here and you are criticizing this city, frick YOU. and this has nothing to do with the game, personally i want the game to be here this saturday, but i have to say something to the assholes who arent going through what we are right now.

I live in Baton Rouge now and I lived in New Orleans during Katrina and it is not that bad in Baton Rouge right now. Just because traffic is bad and you have to wait longer for a table in a resteraunt does not mean the game should not be played. Yes trees are down and some people still do not have power....so what does that have to do with the game being played on Saturday? Most of the businesses, resteraunts, grocery stores in Baton Rouge are open. What do you want a big pity party because some tress are knocked down?

its funny how all the people saying that we (BR) are whining live somewhere else in the state or out of state. None of ya'll have seen how bad it is over here. It took me an hour to get home from LSU the other day when normally it takes 10 mins. So why don't all ya'll people not in BR suck in long and suck it hard. Oh yea, GEAUX TIGERS

You're right, none of us went through Katrina.

BR's inconveniences from Gustav aren't in the same planet as Katrina's issues. Chop some trees, tarp a roof, light some candles, BBQ some food with propane, stay with friends in NOLA, etc, and get ready for some football - it's still 5 days away.

Edit to add: didn't know that was a positive confirmation on game being played in Br.

Hurricane season just has people pissed off. Period. It's a situation where no one is to blame, but people just want to blame someone, ANYONE.

Mother Nature can be and is a cruel bitch.

and how it cant be that bad in New Orleans for all these people to have come here

Oh bullshite.

80% of the city was flooded, 1000 people or something like that died, and it was the worst natural disaster in US history.

Now I know some BR people were upset about all those people being there, but I'm certain you NEVER heard anyone say it wasn't that bad in New Orleans that they need to go elsewhere.
