I'd like to see a breakdown of penalties in Alabama games over the last several years on penalties given in the 4th quarter of a close Alabama game...especially critical penalties given to opposing team. Also would like to see suspected bad calls....such as bad spots missed INTERCEPTIONS etc

I like your little political joke, but no matter if you're 20 or 30 or older, you should know by now that people play politics with everything.
You might not, but the reason everyone else is so convinced is because it's happened to them personally or they've done it to someone else personally. I've conspired to get people fired, hired, promoted, demoted and people have done the same to me.
It's just how the world works. As such, it is clear that Ritter is no fan of LSU, so I wouldn't doubt there's a conversation inside his crew that goes something like "Now we know this team is sloppy and I don't want a sloppy game. If you see anything close, call it." That's all it takes.

Can someone explain the process for officiating crews being assigned to games? Is it a decision by the SEC front office the week leading up to the games? Seems like a schedule produced in the beginning of the season would be the fairest process.

Regarding refs, each seven man crew is assigned games by Shaw at the beginning of the season and they call every game together as a unit all year long.
