Probably not ready to play until well into next season, and they probably shouldn't play him even when he is ready. Just sit him out, tank the season for some o-line and rb support, and shoot for 2022.

Torn ACL, torn MCL, other tissue damage in the knee. Minimum 9 months before he can play, possibly 12 months or more.

Assuming a normal season next year, he will certainly miss a lot of pre-season practice and perhaps the pre-season games. But he is a tough SOB, so he will likely work extremely hard to get back. Best case is, he could be ready for the start of next season, but lacking some practice. Worst case, he misses next season completely.

Just hoping that he can not only play but play the way he’s accustomed to playing

I imagine running on that leg is going to be dicey

Just need to draft good olinemen but they must be coached to be disciplined within a system. Look at the saints. Sean Peyton knows how to build an o line.

The MCL injury doesn’t really add any recovery time to an ACL repair. It’s common to have both. Most experts expect him to be cleared for activity 6 months after surgery, and cleared to play at 9 months. They have to wait a while before doing surgery, though, to let swelling/bruising go down. Gonna be cutting it close for start of next season.

There is nothing saying he could be ready for the start of next season. More predictions that he will miss 2021.
