Any SEC Coach Ever Inherit a Better Situation Than Did Les?

In recent times?
Not meant to be a flame but if we're going to assess Les against other coaches then the set of initial conditions is a legitimate factor to consider.
Because incoming coaches are typically replacing fired coaches or long-term coaches being 'forced-out', they don't normally inherit the best of situations.
Meyer inherited a good situation from Zook at UF and Orgeron left a lot of talent for Nutt at OM. But I don't think either was better than here in '05.
Can anyone name a coaching situation that was better than what Les inherited here?

This shitty fan base is in full retard mode.
So 10 fricking years of consistent success is meant because les took over a 9-3 team?

Larry Coker - Miami in '01.

Twice. Both happened in Miami. Schnelenbeger to Jimmy Johnson and Jimmy Johnson to Erickson. My bad it happened again at Miami Butch Davis to Coker. In every situation the coaches went to the pro's. Each of the coaches also won National Championships.

Saban at Bama after Shula wasn't bad.

Exactly he was a 7-5 coach that had just lost his second bowl game. If he really had something special at Oklahoma State do you think that he would have left.

Alabama won what? 20 something titles. Id think any coach that gets hired there was in a better situation than almost every program.
Oregon is run by nike and kelly left that program in great shape.
ND is a big name. They have had success under numerous coaches
FSU
Texas
Hell Malzahn inherited a team chizik took to a bcs championship and still had players malzahn recruited on the team. His system offensively was already in place.

If you know of someone that inherited a better situation than Les then say so. Else, politely say "no."

Zook inherited a pretty good situation when he replaced Spurrier over at UF.

Well despite common belief, Saban inherited a good team when he took over Bama.
They were 1 year removed from a 10 win season and had just as much or more raw talent than nick took aver at LSU

You are right. The next guy would be forced to take over a 7-5/7-6 team if he came in next year. I wouldn't want a new coach to have to deal with that garbage.
