We know the rest but I am not sure I really understand this. Was he trying to create pressure for a change, let Miles try to save his job etc? I just don't understand the perceived advantage of this. Going public with all this? Has anything been written on why he did this? It obviously backfired.

Georgia didn't say shite. and Mark is gone and they don't even have a new coach yet.

He screwed up. I want Les gone, but I also want Alleva gone.

When did Les do this and to which publication?

There were only rumors that he said this at the gridiron club but also some who said he never said any of this.

We know for certain that neither he, nor anyone in his administration, took any steps to discredit the leak. As such, he is at the least complicit in it spreading.

It's pretty well unofficially known that it was Alleva. But even if it wasn't, he could have easily gotten out in front of the blowback and chose not to do so.

Either he never had the authority to remove Miles and he should be fired to letting it get to the point it did when the president got involved, OR...he DID have the authority and FKA killed it in the 11th hour. In which case King should be fired. I also would have resigned if I were Alleva in that scenario.

It's the most underreported fact in all of this. And, nobody has the guts to ask the question.

He probably wanted to put word out there to get agents to inquire about the job.

I pretty much agree with this, one caveat, did anyone notice the absolute beating the LSU brand was taking in the media? It would not have stopped with a firing, it would have intensified. Alleva should be fired regardles but under the circumstances FKA saved us from ourselves.

We need to give it a rest, let it play out and if Les can right the ship then great.

If not, next year, VERY quietly, like UGA, make the decision and pull the trigger without a bunch of idiots, board members and inside sources running their damn mouths...
