Assuming they win today as it looks like they will

Anderson or Short according to my OM friend
Anderson is a midweek starter and Short is a weekend reliever.

He also said that if Ole Miss wins today which it looks like they will that they will not push Trent. If it was a must-win regional then they would throw him but they feel confidence about their National Seed chances after winning this game, which they should. So no need to throw Trent when he's not feeling 100% healthy.

Ole Miss fans on the SEC rant seem to think they would throw Trent tomorrow which would be kind of dumb IMO.

someone should tell them it's possible the game tomorrow might very well be FOR a national seed.

Well that would be stupid to tell someone something false.

We all know Ole Miss is starting Christian Trent tomorrow. It doesn't matter though. LSU will win or lose on its pitching.

So LSU has zero shot at a national seed?

You seem to be the kind of person who sees things in only black or white with zero grey area.

That makes no sense to me FWIW
The LSU-ole miss game is shaping up to be a very important game with national seed implications. You indicated otherwise and that ole miss feels they have a national seed locked up, which is not the case if they lose to LSU on Saturday and lau wiggles it's way into a national seed. Ole miss will have likely lost their national seed in that case.
Aren't you the one that said USC was 100% locked into a host regional? Sounds pretty black and white to me.

You are making way too many assumptions here.
Just because I don't believe that the game tomorrow between LSU and Ole Miss will determine a national seed doesn't mean that I also think it has zero national seed implications.

If LSU loses tomorrow, yes. If they win the SEC tournament, no.

Copy and paste from OM friend...
quote:
More info on Trent... He has never thrown as many innings as he's thrown this year and has hit a wall fatigue wise. He has zero soreness or pain just lazy mechanics and drop in velocity. Will sitting him a week help him get past that wall? No idea but he isn't going to pitch tomorrow and shouldn't if he's fatigued super on the line or not

You're somewhat wise.

Like I said, someone might want to let ole miss know that Saturdays game may very well end up being FOR a national seed.
Posted on 5/23/14 at 4:24 pm to LSU=Champions
At this point, they could pitch 1984 Nolan Ryan and LSU could hit Chinea 1-9 and I'd feel good about a win.

The SEC is likely only getting 2 national seeds max. Ole miss and LSU most likely are the only SEC teams still alive for the second spot. If LSU wins Saturday and wins the championship, ole miss is not getting a national seed...in that case, either LSU will get it or neither will get it. If ole miss wins Saturday, they are locked Into a national seed.
