A lot of rumblings that it could be a early game. With so many big games that day, why not play it Friday night.

Since LSU Sports lists all games as TBA, it's clearly nothing more than a placeholder and is not the official start time.

I think the countdown clock is set to the earliest possible kickoff time.

There's not THAT many big games that day. Bama v. FSU is obviously the headliner. Michigan v. Florida will be the second-best matchup. After that, you have a few other games which are probably on about equal footing:
Virginia Tech vs. West Virginia
Brigham Young vs. LSU
Texas A&M at UCLA
None of those are games likely between two ranked teams. LSU should be the highest ranked among the 6 in that group. UCLA v. A&M might get third billing just because it's two big TV markets (LA and Texas)
