Troy smith but with some swagger. He is humble a kid as I have seen but he plays like he owns the place.

Give this kid some time and one season as a starter under his belt...: will be fun to watch

Tap the brakes. Lets not turn an historic drive into the worst thing that's ever happened to the kid.

Some of you have really lost it with your expectations. I am as excited and hopeful as anyone but the idea that there will be some seamless transition to greatness happen here is just silly. Future star or not AJ will have a learning curve. It's the fricking SECw y'all.
I wonder how much football some of you folks actually watch.

yeah, freshman manziel had a huge issue lighting* up the sec as a freshman and sophomore..

most qbs in this league don't have the success of others.. but guys who can throw and run consistently can have success anywhere they play.

Out of those, I would say Boyd the most. He's similar to Jennings in that he wants to pass first and foremast and only scrambles when he absolutely needs to.

Remember Jordan Jefferson in the 2008 Peach Bowl? He was instantly installed as the guy who would lead us to a couple national championships. Jennings showed all sorts of skill and talent yesterday, but until we start the 2014 season, he's just another guy in the QB mix. That said, I'm glad he's wearing purple and gold.

i firmly believe if you hit on the right guy you can have success against anyone in any conference.. even early on. this is proven.

LSU has so many potential elite qbs now being coached up by one of the best. there is good reason to be optimistic. even if anthony jennings turns out to be a dud.. which i doubt it given the amount of time he spends in film study alone. he won't let himself not be prepared to succeed and he won't get head of himself. he has a great head on his shoulders. this is reported by cam himself.

Definitely does.

We could have a 6'4" pure pocket passer who runs a 5.0s 40 who is black and this is what we'd get...

I don't know if I like guys whose first priority isn't the pass.
Damn Jefferson all over again.
He is really good reminds me of Warren Moon.
Seriously could be a HOF similar to McNabb
