I went to the game today and it was bar none the best basketball game I have been to. I hate that LSU lost but it was an incredible game. I've been fairly critical of LSU this year, but there was a lot to be happy about today and Hickey was at the center of that. The 3 he hit to put LSU up 64-63 was fricking incredible.

Also, I'm not sure how much of this got shown on TV but the absolute highlight for me was watching Hickey (and actually most of the LSU guys) and how into the game they were. Hickey was going nuts after big plays, coming out of timeouts, everything. He was the guy that was the most fun to watch, but Stringer, Mickey, Coleman, and O'Bryant (who was worn out) were a lot of fun to watch interact with each other. I have a new level of appreciation for those guys after today.

And to go back to the Hickey theme, the UK crowd was awesome concerning him as well. Obviously he was Mr. Basketball in KY (I'm guessing this was mentioned about 200 hundred times today), but the crowd gave him a huge ovation when he was introduced and when he fouled out (although part of that was likely pure happiness that he was out of the game). Wish the game had ended 4 seconds earlier but it was a lot of fun.

Hickey played 44 minutes had 20 pts 5 reb 8 assists 2 steals and only 1 turnover. He was all over the court getting every loose ball and he kept us in the game

He played like a man tonight. Yes, he took a couple of bad shots, he always does, but he was our MVP tonight.

What I appreciate about Hickey is he has Balls, no matter the outcome make or miss, good result or bad he gives us his best shot and he could care less about the consequences. You have to respect a guy with that type of attitude

well said.
And as someone else said. He always plays great against UK it seems. I know he was Mr. Kentucky in high school. Was he not offered? I think so, but couldn't remember. Would explain why he always plays well against them.

You did what I often do - watch bench dynamics, especially when I'm lucky enough to sit behind the bench. It does reveal a lot about players and who the regular team cheerleaders are.

That surprises the heck out of me. Way to go KY fans
