Last years team was competitive right? That boring prolific offense?

That's beside the point. What were you expecting this year. Were you expecting the two blowouts in our SEC games this year? Did you really believe that we could possible go with out and SEC win this year?

What some of you don't want to admit is LSU is like Blackberry 2009. A good run, great market share, and an unwillingness to change or face facts before driving off the cliff.

Any realistic football fan knew coming into this year that it was going to be a long year.
So you really believed that we would get blown out by Auburn and Miss State. You weren't thinking that we would be competitive those games. If you say yes you aren't being honest.

They have accepted mediocrity. It is strange that some of these people are acting as though we SHOULD be ok with getting our asses kicked.

Back off the ledge bro. The suns coming up in the morning. LSU football doesn't make the world go round. Take it for what it is. If it makes you this sick, quit following the program, it's not worth it.

Since Miles was hired.
No p5 program has more wins
No sec team had more sec titles
No west team has more west titles
No program has beaten more ranked teams.
No program has been ranked in the top 25 more.

Trust me, I will not lose any sleep over this loss or any other. Let me explain it to you one more time. I expect a competitive team to be on the field. Competitive doesn't mean that they will win every game. I will ask you again. What did you expect? Did you expect that we would get blown out by State and Auburn? Be honest.

....and now it's perfectly ok to get our asses handed to us? Or were you guys expecting to get blown out of the building? Spare me the "top 5 teams" & "we are young" crap. This team is as poorly coached as some of the Hallman & Dinardo teams.

That's what I keep asking them and they will not answer. They are being dishonest. All I have been saying is that I expected a competitive team and that some how makes me a bad guy.

I didn't expect to be down by so much to MISS ST, but no one would have expected that, since they usually are more of a low-scoring team.

However, after seeing how Wisconsin gashed us to start the year, I figured AU was going to hang 50 on us. Was just a question of if our young offense could score enough to make it respectable.

Don't sweat it though, you can put all your LSU gear away until next year, and return with the rest of the fair-weather fans.

Corn Dawg, I agree and would add an apparent change in blocking scheme that has LSUs OL and TEs lost...a veteran group.

The DL and LBs simply are not that good and neither are the QBs at this point.

I will say LSU has about 20 plus guys that have been in the program for at least three years that are playing in these games. Other than the two WRs, two RBs, one QB, one S, and one DT, the rest of the true freshman are not getting many or any quality snaps.

Mississippi State and Auburn may beat a lot of other folks too this year.

granted I hated to see us get blown out but maybe we can settle down and win a few more going to the end of the year and be better next year with another year on all these freshmaen

God some of you are dumb. Hallman and Denardo. Realistically I thought 7-5. I thought we'd beat Kent, Ark, and pull one out against fla/a/m! Problem is you're talking about competitive, I'm being realistic and you're ready to call someone out for mediocrity. The other 13 teams in the Sec play the game to win.

Harris played like a freshman with a HUGE road test against a Top 5 opponent

We had guys open and he missed them

Our D is not very good but will improve with young guys. I can't explain why none get any pressure.

I just hope it "clicks" for Harris sooner than later.

I'll say it again, this team is as poorly coached as some of the Hallman & Dinardo teams. One hallmark of those years was shitty defense, inept offense & complete inability to improve on a week by week basis.

Admitting mediocrity.

What the frick is wrong with talking about being competitive? We are being blown out of the building. Know what got Ty Willingham & Charlie Weis fired at Notre Dame? Over time their teams became less competitive and the margin of loss continued to widen.

The other 13 teams in the Sec play the game to win

Then what the hell do we play for....looks??? are we just going to sit around and say 'frick it' it's not our year? Is this some Wake Forest, University of Minnesota by gosh we are glad to be here but maybe next time bullshite?

There is no need to provide them with answers. Regardless of what they think, we still pull in top recruits and we have a solid, talented, YOUNG team that is going to take their lumps this season, but will be a team no one will look forward to playing the next 2-3 years. Everyone can coach from their couches. This is the SEC, you cant field 20 true freshmen and not expect to take your lumps. We just lost to the #2 team in the nation, had we played better on our first 4 offensive possessions it would have been a much closer game. Even Brandon Harris stated that in his interview, took full responsibility for the fumble, leaving the pocket too early and just missing wide open receivers. The kid has a bright future at LSU, this team has a bright future at LSU. Let the panic-button crew call for heads to roll, coaching changes, etc etc..The record Miles has put together speaks for itself, he isn't going anywhere soon no matter how much it pisses them off..Enjoy watching this young team grow, it's going to be fun watching this group just get better and better!

+1,000

Whether we're "competitive" or not, is not really what I'm concerned with this year. As someone pointed out earlier in the thread, our youth is not an excuse............it is a REASON we're struggling the way we are. It doesn't mean that we won't see improvement as the season progresses. But, expecting this team to win as much as last year's team or the 2012 team was foolhardy at best.

Jonboy, wow he got all the answers, we beat 4 teams and lost to no 2 and no5, sometime you get your arse whipped. Sometimes. The other team is better. This is the first time in history both MS teams or in the top 10 at the same time. The Sec is different this year. I don't accept mediocrity at all, sometimes you get your assistance whipped. Pick up all your lsu stuff till baseball season, then create 10 threads about how much maneri sucks.

You idiots are never going to get this....but I'll say it so the smart ones know i'm with them.

Read carefully....NOT ONE PERSON IS HAPPY ABOUT THIS SEASON SO FAR. It sucks being blown out and should not happen.

But here's where people who see big picture are above you idiots....we don't want the coach fired for what is clearly the exception season out of his whole time at LSU. It's not accepting mediocrity. It's being realistic that once or twice every 10 years you won't be in the title hunt. Oh Lord the horror. The two years out of 10 we aren't, we don't scream to fire the coach. We can be just as pissed off and say why the frick isn't he calling the time out right now? But we also know him not calling the time out doesn't change the fact that the man has won at a record level at LSU.

Again....no one likes SEC performance so far. Not even the biggest of miles fans. In fact I think even biggest fans will say this is a terrible coaching job so far this year. But not wanting him fired for the exception season doesn't mean we are accepting mediocraty...it means we aren't fricking idiots.
The only other "wtf" season was 08...alot of same key problems. No true leader at QB and a lost defense....the ship was sinking then....the same stupid shite was being screamed then...then we had the most dominant regular season ever in 2011 and not one person was screaming about accepting mediocrity.

Some of you fricking people man. Don't want a coach fired so it means you can't be upset....where do you come from?
