Tired if school, family economics, bad advice. I don't know. But it's not impossible to see Simon leave early based purely on what we've seen and what we expect.

Because whether he goes in the first round or not he'll be making alot more money than LSU gives him.

He'll probably be the first safety in the entire country taken in the draft.

After a weak Safety class in last years draft he will be a hot commondity.

To these kids it is.

If you followed ANY of them on twitter before last season there were a couple of tweets between the 4 (HB, Reid, Simon, Claiborne) referring to leaving early and making bank.

Am I the only one sick of this topic? Can we get a honey bager board? Can we talk about the other 80 or so athletes on the team?

I believe it was Desmond Howard that made this point: he needs to get away from Baton Rouge and start fresh. He needs to change his environment in order to make changes. If you keep hanging out in the same place with the same people it is a lot harder to not fall back into the same trap.

People who say its definitive he's not coming back, I'd like to learn where you're getting that info from. Nothing is set in stone yet. The university has yet to comment on ANYTHING past this year. If they're allowing him to stay in school for this year even, i don't think you can fully rule out the possibility of his return until an official university statement is put out.

This is such a cop-out. MOST people have to make changes where they are. MOST people do not have options to "move" in order to escape their 'demons'.

Would it be easier? Perhaps. Though, many people would say the discomfort of moving to new environs and having to deal with that discomfort may cause a person to turn more toward their "crutch".

No matter, the idea that someone NEEDS to move away in order to change is bunk.

Ask Rueben Randle. Or Josh Reed. Or Stevan Ridley.

Those guys gave up a year early in their careers possibly in exchange for an extra year towards the end of their careers when their earning power will likely be much greater.

Sounds like staying at lsu, studying and keeping his grades up while maintaining a low profile away from football might be a really good solution.

I don't think "low profile" can apply to Tyrann.

Reuben left because he thought there was no way he was going to improve his stock

Josh Reed was a beast at WR and accomplished everything at LSU and coming back he risked injury

Ridley was facing a crowded back field and had he stayed may have not gotten drafted at all.

No ones knows what hes thinkin and what option he will take. My question is for the people who thinks hes gone for sure. If he goes to mcneese or wherever and dominates like we know he is going to, how does that improve his draft status??
