this idea is certainly a fresh one.

it's also idiotic and would remove LSU from the SEC. the SEC,however would not die. they would just add 4 new teams in the southeast. losing LSU and UT would be substantial but keeping bama, ole miss, Georgia and florida and adding new teams would still be a powerful conference. meanwhile, LSU is stuck with shite teams and our annual income would decrease. it also would severely injure our recruiting.

I like the way you are thinking outside the box but I started a thread that took off in the wrong direction. I do not want to see the SEC dismantled, I just want to see the leadership diversified and all competition appearing to be fair at all times. If Bama wants to act as though the conference will wilt without them then the member schools must take action to prove them wrong.

Even if Vandy cannot compete for the football playoffs they still should not stand for being assured that they will never pull an upset on a team which is in the running. Bama should not be allowed to bully other teams then run to hide behind the refs when the opponent bullys them. This conference supports four football teams as perennial powers: Bama, Auburn, Georgia and Florida. They then support LSU, Ole Miss, Miss St, Tennessee and South Carolina as the second tier. The other five are welcome but should not expect that anything questionable will go well for them against the favored four. Basketball and baseball seem to have a hierarchy with different teams in the tiers. It's like they want to steer each school to be dominant in one of the big three. LSU fans want football and baseball but we seemed to be getting steered towards baseball. Bama gets all three in the same way that Texas got all three. That's just my opinion.

Huge $$$$$$$$ TV Contract with LSU, Texas and Oklahoma in there.

Somebody with a little Vision that has the authority to get it off the ground just needs to initiate the idea to the right individuals.
