Summer weddings are too hot, winter weddings are too cold, spring weddings get rained out, and fall weddings are during football season.

I think we should just simplify things and get rid of weddings

My Virginia Greek mother in law purposely picked Oct. 14 2006 even though I gave her the LSU schedule and LSU had a bye the next Saturday! Yes LSU blew Kentucky out, but to this day that woman and I do not get along! All she said is she was paying for it and to get over it! NEVER EVER marry into a Greek family!

One of my best buds is getting married this November on the Saturday after Thanksgiving.
That's rivalry weekend, the bride is out of her damn mind!

The worst is the audacity of the bride to be upset when you skip the wedding that she planned during the LSU game.

So true!

But still you're a complete douche and controlled by your woman if you let this happen! No excuses but it happens every year

I've skipped weddings for LSU games. The last one was the Oregon game in 2011.

I've also skipped a funeral to go to the Alabama game. I wasn't that close to Paw-paw.

Kinda related, I have given my wife strict instructions that if I die in the fall, my funeral shall not interfere with a game.

I don't go to weddings on Satrdays or Sundays during Tigers or Saints game.

Every weekend from Sept-Jan I'm in the woods and watching LSU on Saturday. Got Married in August, take a lil vacation without the kid every year for the Aniversary. She knows I'm gone shortly after. Took 4 years of dating for her to realize what happens when October rolls around...........13 years later all is still good

I won't even go to a wedding after September, that bullshite

A lot of people are average fans and they don't care enough to kill their girlfriends dream of a fall wedding. Some guys get married on an open date and act like they are geniuses until 5 years later when it's the Auburn game but instead they gotta spend their Saturday at a vineyard in Nantucket for their anniversary while hoping their DVR recorded the end of the game and they have to stay off social media for the next 8 hours. All because they couldn't say no to their princess.

Weddings are forgotten very quickly and shouldn't be celebrated as elaborately as they are in America. Save your money. Forget about making it perfect. And do it in the summer like everyone should.

There is football season and there is wedding season and the two do not overlap. Furthermore, I got married in 1984 when LSU was expected to be in the final four every year. The wedding was in April because the tournament used to end in March back then.
