I found to be typical GUMP comments. Apparently the LSU defense is awful. LSU hasn't played anyone with an offense worth mentioning.

Gump logic can be a confusing thing.
As for the DL and stopping the run... we stop the run pretty good last time I checked. We also love to shut 'em down on goal line stands and 4th downs with less than two yards to go. I guess that it takes a pretty crappy D line to do those things.
Our LBs are better than theirs this year BYW.
The gist of gump message board psychology is that they instantly win arguments when they reply with LOL and a laughing emoticon. It's their failsafe.
Also, I would say that winning solves everything but they are the exception to that rule. Their delusions even transcend the streak we had on them before they started theirs on us.

Gotta be the dumbest fanbase In college football. Ole miss putting up best offensive numbers in the conference and lit them up. We shut them down period. We've got one of the best defenses in the country but our dline sucks in their lil feeble gump minds

If any real LSU fan is attending the game, you should make so much noise when Bama is on offense that they go deaf. (Bring your earplugs for safety.) Back in the day, I was one of those guys in the student section standing on the wall that painted up and cheered and stayed the whole damn game even in cold rain with just Tabasco boxers on. LSU is depending on you to be the LSU fans SVP and so many commentators and adversaries have spoken of when in the real DEATH VALLEY!!! I am all riled up and going to eat a steak raw!

We have another LB that does pretty wll in the pass rush. So at the very worst, we are even... the rest I don't mind chalking up to bias.
I don't know the stats but I would also bet that our LBs make more tackles than theirs do since their DL seems to be better than ours in the 3-4.
Shoot, I just like our backers so screw it... they are the bestest.

Etling is the key to a win or a loss. Plain and simple.
Hopefully, his Purdue history of having a shite O-line and being forced to constantly run for his life has given him the experience he will need to improvise and make plays while being chased around.
