Larry Fitzgerald said the Cardinals have had to hold Tyrann Mathieu back in his rehab from a torn ACL.
He suffered the injury on December 20 but has already resumed running. "He heals like Wolverine," said Fitzgerald. "We’re so happy to see he’s going to be ready to go for us by training camp, and he can pick right where he left off." Mathieu was one of the best slot corners in football last year and could he headed for a huge contract if he has another successful season in 2016. Of course, much of that depends on his health.

People can say what they want about TM, but he has great work ethic and it is impressive. I wish him the best always

His rehab is going really well. I spoke with him for about 30 minutes after his grand mother's funeral.

Same. He was just so much fun to watch. All that energy and the way the team would rally with him was just amazing.

Pound for pound, if he isn't the toughest Tiger of all time, he's definitely in the top 5. Loved his intensity.

One of the major concerns for athletes is that they start doing things again when it "feels" better. Just because it doesn't hurt or feel uncomfortable doesn't mean they can do whatever. Ligaments and tendons take up to a year to heal completely and even when they do it will only be 80% of what it was before the injury.

I know TM7 has a whole team of experts surrounding him but it always makes me cringe when athletes say how quickly they healed and returned to activities. Wish the kid nothing but the best in the future.
