an anology for the people who want les gone.

At one point he *wanted* to coach at LSU.
He still does. Throw that $4 mill at him and see.
I believe the ol' ball coach knows a thing or two about quarterbacking. He'd sure do better with LSU's talent than with what he can scrape up at USC.

For a short three-year burst after inheriting a powerhouse, he was 34-6. For the four years before that at Oklahoma State and the two years after that at LSU, he is a very ordinary 45-30. So, which is the more accurate indicator of his ability? Six years at two different schools, four of which were teams that were mostly his creations, or three years at LSU after he inherited probably the most talented team in school history?
this!

I don't have an agenda.
Sure you do.
I don't happen to think that a 5th year consisting of a 3rd place finish in the SEC, a 9-3 regular season which earns a major bowl bid, and a national ranking is indicative of anything which shouts out coaching change needed.
And as for as thinking a coach who has a NC ring on his finger from 1-08 would be released 2 or 3 or 4 years after that NC if he is still winning 8 or 9 or 10 games a season, there is nothing I know of in the history of college football to support such an opinion. Carr remained at Michigan 10 years after his title and averaged 3+ L's a year and Fulmer remained at Tennessee 10 years after his title averaging 4 L's a year after his title.
I know there is always a first time for everything, but if I had to put money on it...my bet is Miles is here for 2 to 3 more years at least if he wants to be here.

It is if that's the big bounce back season after an even worse one.

'96 5-6
'97 8-4
'98 5-6
'99 5-6
'00 3-8

After two subpar years, Dinardo didn't deserve any more pats on the back for his first three successful seasons
Please don't compare the last two years under Dinardo to these past two years...it makes you seem unknowledgable.
