The 5 game skid to Bama undoubtedly stings, especially since the bleeding never stopped from 1/9/12. However, I sat back and appreciated the fact that the Aggies are on a similar streak to us losing 5 in a row. I hate Florida, and we have beaten them 5/6 years, beaten Auburn 7/9 years, and Mississippi State 22/24 years. The non-conference regular-season streak is now at 52, and I still don't know how we came back from 24-7 in the 3rd to Wisconsin in 2014.

I hate Bama. I hate losing to them. Right now, except for Hugh Freeze and Urban Meyer, nobody is beating them right now. Losing to Bama alone is not a reason to fire Les, but the way we lose to them and only having 80 passing yards and 4 completions on E. Michigan last year was another example of our problems. I think he had a wakeup call with his recent hires (Craig, Aranda), and I expect to see improvement this year.

There's no "but". It's bama and everybody else. And nothing else really matters. Stop trying to make yourself fell good.

The Arkansas loss streak?

Things are cyclical. LSU once had a five game streak over Bama (and seven out of eight in the same span), A&M had one over LSU, and Florida once seemed unbeatable, etc. Losses to Ole Miss and Arkansas won't continue.

Don't forget the streak of losing at least 3 games a year.

Mississippi State 22/24 years.

No, 23 of 24. That 1999 is amongst the worst outcomes in NCAA history. For those who remember, LSU led 16-11 with less than a minute left and State had a 4th and Goal on the LSU 1. MSU's Griffith lost yardage on the play and they gave him a touchdown after he crawled over a yard on the ground under the masses of humanity. State missed the 2 point conversion but held on for a 17-16 win when Booty's depression heave from midfield got picked.

The only streaks you mentioned were vs TAMU and non conference. Streak vs Miss St ended in 2014, and we should start a new one next year. Streak vs Auburn ended horrifically in 2014 as well, and also should resume next year.

Arkansas is on a 2 game streak vs us though, and we are on a 3+ loss season streak (past 4 years). Let's hope we get both of those corrected.

we had 5-6 brutal SEC losses 98 & 99. It was brutal being a fan those 2 years.

That 99 Georgia game comes to mind when we went for 2 as time expired to win and Georgia knocked it out of our hands.

No you have it all wrong. Les only loses. The wins are because of the players and because LSU is the best of the best and should beat those teams anyway.

No wake up call. Saban/BAMA define success as championships as Miles/LSU define it has 10 win seasons. Saban has said he has only had 4 successful seasons as a head coach at BAMA. Bet Miles thinks he has yet to have an unsuccessful season at LSU! Both are arrogant, just that Saban doesn't let his arrogance blind his sight as to going out of his comfort zone to fire coaches even after 1 loss seasons. He is better at looking ahead and seeing adjustments need to be made well ahead of Miles. Miles statement last year about not needing many changes cause the engine was "stinking strong" said it all. Yes it is strong but isn't winning Championships. That has only happened 1 time and with an OC with a 180 view/philosophy than Miles. That and fighting to keep Cameron says he learned nothing last year. Saban fired Nussemeir after an 11 win season (or 10 win) and went waaayyy out of his comfort zone and hired Kiffin and 2 yrs later has a NC with a first year qb and is #1 in preseason polls with another first year starter and no heisman trophy back. Miles is a one time lighting in a bottle coach and that is good enough for a large part of the LSU fan base. Nothing wrong with that just be what you are and not Hope to be what you are not without doing the things necessary to get there.

Reading responses to threads like this really make you wonder why so many self loathing assholes that hate LSU football even bother responding or following the team. I could never hate my favorite team and school as much as these douchebags on tiger droppings. They hate anything positive said. I just don't get it.

I only see it as a four game losing streak to Bama. 01.09.12 should have never happened in the first place.
