Alleva is such a hypocrite

Has agreement in place with Herman but spends all week trying to get Jimbo. As soon as Herman tries to listen to Texas he gets pissed off and leaves the table.

My thing with this is, what precisely did they think it would take to get him? Did they think he was going to leave his $40 million contract for anything less than $50 mill? Orgeron was a safety net for them.

You can't preach one thing and then do another. Herman had every right to be pissed off at Alleva for still trying for Jimbo after they had agreed in principle. And then Alleva has the nerve to walk away when Herman wants to listen to Texas?

Herman camp leaked the LSU talks in order to get the Texas job. Fisher was a reported smoke screen to keep the Herman talks off of the radar.
Alleva is not the bad guy here. Herman's camp played the unethical cards in this one.

LSU was not pursuing Fisher during the Herman talks.

UnluckyTiger my understanding is Jimbo and Alleva had a talk in which Jimbo agreed to some kind of deal but wanted to talk with Sexton before the talks were over. Sexton counters LSU offer with a deal that priced Jimbo as a demi god rank pay, Alleva walked on the counter offer.
Then 2 days later Herman agrees to a deal with LSU and Alleva, LSU is set to announce Herman as the coach; as all insiders know, and Herman backs out of the agreement to look at the Texas job which was coming open.
Alleva then drops Herman like a hot cake.
There is nothing wrong that Alleva did in the deals, one fell apart because of Sexton wanting way to much money, the other due to Herman breaking the deal.
