Neither did having Miles as coach

Alleva is smart, he knows if Tennessee loses one more Fla will be willing to play even in the Tiger Stadium. I know you may think they don't need to play this game but it is not that easy they have to play LSU if they want to go to the SECCG.

I think most would take Dec 3rd.

There is no other sensible date for it.

It sounds to me like our only offers were to play Florida in BR on 11/19, play Florida on 11/05 and play Alabama on 10/29, or play on Dec 3rd in the Georgia dome.

Or, no make up at all.

It sounds to me like we would not budge on anything else. I like it.

I think 12-3 will be the date if needed by any team. It could be moot by that time and likely will be. If that is the case the game will not be played.

As long as he's been told that at 6-1 LSU goes to the SECCG, I'm find not making up the game Get healthy and kick the gators arse in Atlanta.

This is critical to me as I think it should be for Alleva. If they come to the conclusion that this game will not be made up the SEC needs to ammend the current rule for division winners to one that is decided by divisional record.

This will allow us to keep the hopes for an SECCG appearance alive (albeit small) and prevent Florida from having an unfair advantage over Tenn.

Looks that way but SEC knows they screwed up and there will be an uproar if this game is not played and Fla makes it, they will force them to play LSU.

there's zero chance the SEC will allow a team to go to Atlanta if they haven't played all their conference games.

There's just no chance of that at all. Zero.

If they will do that, that's exactly what I would want. I don't want our AD caving in to these entitled little bitches at florida.

Will be funny to watch this board implode when we finish 6-1 and don't go to Atlanta.

I'd give it like a 1% chance, but yea.

All these people saying screw UF/don't make up the game and bow down will be the same ones torching Aleva for putting money ahead of winning and calling for his firing.

moving SEC championship

wasn't going to happen anyway. CFP Committee wasn't going to delay their rankings waiting to see what happened in that game.

Everyone here would rather be "right" than reschedule Florida and make sure that winning out gets you to the SECCG?

Yes...until that scenario actually played out...then no.

They agreed to delay their rankings last year for the Army-Navy game.

Well that's basically what doing what everyone on here seems to want would lead to.

Why would that be an issue. If the SEC wants to make things right and not let this aid UF or hurt LSU, there is a simple solution if the game is not played:

Only Division record is used to determine the SEC championship participants.

By that, UF is not benefited by going 5-1 in the SEC East but avoiding playing an SEC west opponent and Tennessee get screwed over if they go 6-2 with their only losses to West teams.

LSU is not screwed by not playing that game should LSU and Bama/A&M end up with records of 6-1 and 7-1 respectively with both going 5-1 in the West. This also benefits Bama/A&M should they drop one to an East team and LSU didn't have to play UF.

It's pretty simple and fair given the circumstances and would not require LSU-UF to happen if it isn't reasonable to do so.

The bye week has been nothing but harmful for us lately anyway

I've been seeing this on threads for three days now. Do some of you people actually believe that this has had any impact whatsoever on the outcome of that game? If you do, then there really isn't much that can be said to help you work through this belief.

By the way, your thread was only chosen for my two-bit worth because the latest seen with this comment.
