There's usually not a whole lot of difference between top 5 draft picks. So much of it is a crapshoot.
Did you even watch to Oklahoma game last year? Simmons shied away from even trying to take over the game in the second half, which Hield clearly did, and the announcers were BEGGING for Simmons to step up. But he didn't. Also he passed up a potential game-winning shot against Marquette earlier in the season, and the announcer also was shocked. Not sure I've ever seen that before.
Time will tell who's the better pro (I really don't care since I don't watch NBA) but it was pretty clear to me from what I saw last year.
