The Oklahoma game doesn't even look like the same school as this year. Simmons, Quarterman, Hornsby, Victor, Gray all gone... you can't blame all that on the coach. Alleva is at fault for saying publicly that the team had nothing left to play for last year. He said something similar to that during football by constantly repeating "we compete for championships" i.e. if we can't win it all we should just quit. Skip Bertman and Joe Dean never commented to the media about a team's record/post-season chances during the season. The fixation on winning championships with nothing else being acceptable almost guarantees a season like this. This was not a championship caliber team to begin with.

Well without Victor, this team was not going to win the SEC. There's no way. So if we had won 5-6 more games, and finished just above .500 fans would still want the coach fired. That's just the way it is. A winning record was possible with this team, an SEC championship is not something anybody would rationally expect. At some point playing for pride is necessary, whether its in the NIT, when the SEC west is out of reach, whenever. Kentucky lost the first round of the NIT then won the NCAA the next year. It's sad that the entire program and fans have come to this point and the only thing people care about is firing coaches.

I got it but it's not cool to trash talk LSU players. ever. Whether they are All-American or benchwarmer, keep it to yourself. If your ambition as a fan is to get the coach fired before your support the team, step back and think about what you're contributing to the program. Is that how you enjoy the game? Do you watch the game as a coach? If all you care about is coaching, salaries, and that kind of drama, you definitely never had it in you to be a player.

take your dumbass somewhere else. you aren't an LSU fan. period.

and i'll be watching LSU play - that's all there is to it
