Procedure:

1. Look at replay
2. Figure out 'what would the Bear want me to do?'
3. Announce decision.

It will be a collaborative effort with the replay booth at the stadium and at the SEC office.

I'm not the conspiracy theorist most are on this board but...

quote:

Under this experiment, personnel operating from SEC Headquarters will assist the in-stadium Instant Replay Officials when replay decisions are made.

How many damn people do they need to look at a replay? Why have an in-stadium replay official if you still have to confirm with the home office? Are we going to have 10 rounds of "voting" on a replay before a decision is made? Are they seeing different video B'ham?

Again, not a conspiracy theorist, but this just convolutes what should be a relatively straight-forward process and lends credence to the arguments of those who are.

It's quite simple. Money. The sec has been protecting their championship caliber teams for a while now. Can't be having 3 loss teams win the sec anymore.

Sec is supposed to be the premier conference but they have the worst refs and worst scheduling in the country.

I was coming in here to post this again for all of those who believe in fairy tales.

If you think this hasn't been going on for a long time already, you are nuts.

So the SEC ref on the field is not sure, or is challenged, so he sends the play up to the press box for a review by an SEC ref & then if he's not sure ( not clear if this is an automatic referral to the SEC replay ref in B.ham) that SEC ref will make a "recommendation", leaving it up to the SEC ref in the press box to make the final call. Anyone catching that all 3 refs are under Steve Shaw, League Director of Officials? Does anyone honestly think the SEC ref in the press box will ever go against the "recommendation" from B.ham? And, totally as an aside, any guesses how long one review will now take?

I would have guessed it was already in Birmingham.

At any rate, this is great news for narcissists who think there is an anti-LSU conspiracy afoot.

Cam Robinson's appeal

Won't need an appeal. Apparently the Monroe AD doesn't like to prosecute first offense felonies. He'll get a half-game suspension vs WKU.
