Fla St has a great lefty ace. Haven't seen him pitch this year but he has some pretty sick numbers.( 139 strikeouts in 112 innings. Has only given up 69 hits. 29 walks. Opponents batting average .171) Lange vs Tyler Holton will be one hell of a matchup!

That is pretty solid. But I'll put our offense up against anybody right now

Not if FSU pitches Holton.

I watched him against Sam Houston, he's beatable.
I would rather FSU than having to go against anyone on the other side of the bracket with their aces.

LSU doesn't need to mess around, go with Lange in Game 1.

Walker has actually pitched the best coming down the stretch of the season and hopefully the long layoff doesn't hurt him since he likely won't pitch until Mon or Tues at the earliest. I'm sure he's probably doing a bullpen today to stay on his regular routine. Maybe the extra week rest benefits him.

With the emergence of Gilbert, Hess and Walker, this is the best pitching LSU has had going into Omaha since 2009.

We'll be ok if Lange doesn't lose it in the first.

That was my thought too....but as others have said it seems like this offense is a little different that the offenses that we've had in the past 5-6 years. It's hard to put my finger on exactly what it is....the best I can come up with is balance maybe I think.

They don't hit well against either.

On the plus side, at least Beau Jordan won't be striking out on a curve ball down and away.

I kid.....I actually like Beau Jordan. I just wish he had more discipline on breaking balls from right handers.
