Kids from my neck of the woods..been excited to see him pitch for some time.

He'll obviously be a key part in our postseason run.

I think he will be national freshman of the year.

Dude is throwing 84 MPH curves off of a 95-96 MPH fastball.

Unfair shite.

A top 5 selection in the mlb draft out of college ceiling?

What part of his game are you asking about...

The only thing I know about him is that he throws mid 90's heat. I was wondering if he's projected to add even more velocity or if he's physically advanced, thus already reached his potential on his elite tool. Also, does he have a secondary pitch that could be projected as favorably as Gausmans change?

This. If this kid knocks 3-4 mph off of his change, he'll be one of the best in the league.

10 mile per hour difference between your fastball and change is just fine and is ideal.

A changeup is different from a breaking ball, chief. Not many are getting a curveball into the 80's.

He has the body type where he's going to be able to add velocity as he matures and matures. I could see him him 96-97mph in a year or two. His curve ball is ahead of Gausman at his age although Kevin had a better change up.

If Lange, Godfrey, Latz, Norman, and Bain all develop as they should the rotation for the next 3 years will be absolutely scary.

Having 5 power arms in one class just does not happen now a days.

At nineteen, Gausman had filthy stuff but not quite as good a command as young Lange has displayed in this small-sample-size. Time will tell but he certainly looks like a future 1st round pick at this point.
