You have to rip Gerry Lane's corporate whoring (the company, not the man, may he rest in peace) off the championship plaza before you get in the gates in my opinion.

I mean, is $8 to $12 and $12 to $18 that big of a deal?

x 35 or so home games = $140 - $210 per season ticket

Yes....it is a big deal when you have sponsors lining up to pay it instead.

Point taken, and say what you will, but baseball tickets are cheap when viewed against the quality of product that that ticket gets you.

Seeing more games on tv, I do think it looks a lot better without all the ads. LSU doesn't need it and it does look tacky. It's never going away though because it's probably $5000 per sign for the season.

give some ideas then.

LSU brewery with officially licensed beer. Start offering a minor in brewing science as well as leisure classes open for the public.

Sell alcohol at LSU sporting events

Sec.220
The face is like $7.

The green grandstand seats are like $12.

That's cheap to watch the product you're seeing.

Sure it's expensive compared to the other 99 percent of college baseball but LSU is not the other 99 percent.

35 games at $7 x 2 tickets = $490.
Plus the TAF fee is like $50...so say $600 to be generous...for two tickets to 35 games. That's cheap for watching what's on the field.

but yeah the no ads looks better. it doesnt bother me, but it does look better.

Now post LSU's entrance versus SC's.

I'll give you a hint, SC doesnt even really have one.

How many college baseball teams do you think turn a profit?

Because many of us are LSU fans, we think that somehow we are doing it better than everyone else.

The truth is, if we would take off our purple & gold glasses, we would see that is not necessarily the case.

Again, USCe didn't make a penny in baseball last year. They didn't even break even. They cost their athletics department about $1 million. Meanwhile, LSU brought in about $3 million last year.
