This is incredible. How tone deaf can LSU admin be? Get rid of the bleachers in right field, make a student section out there, and bring the LSU atmosphere back.

"We know the bleachers look like shite, and they are incredibly uncomfortable, so our fix is to ask you, the fan, to pay even more money so you can rent a seat cushion."

This year the chairbacks in Tiger Stadium will be new and will be purple.

That's even worse.

Alex Box has fallen behind in recent years.

It was never top notch to begin with. They went super cheap with it and it hasn't even taken 10 years for everybody to freak out about how behind the times it is.

Alex Box was behind when it was completed. They fed us that bullshite about keeping the bleachers and just transferring them from the old box because that what the season ticket holders wanted.

What we need to do is go complete real seats in the whole stadium and extend the cover all the way down the lines. Add a berm like they told us about from the beginning and make it a quasi student section. Add a beer garden and better concessions.

How long would it take the Box to look like this? With all the old worn out, faded seat cushions scattered everywhere:

Not gonna lie. I always got excited when I'd walk by Tiger Stadium and saw all the seat cushions put back in. Always made me think the season was almost here. That's also literally a terrible reason to keep them.

On the existing board, I want Pitch counts under the Pitcher's profile.

I want a new smaller but WIDER Board over 1st Base Line Suites that shows interesting shite like:
-both teams' lineup and stats for the day.
-additional current batter info/player info.
-And scores around the NCAA.
-Birthday Messages and random fan-experience shite.

Large Shade over the Playgrounds area would server triple purpose of shielding kids from long foul balls, brutal late season sun, as well as offer shelter during rain.

Agree with all this... I'm always trying to figure out pitch count. Although I don't really GAF about your bigger scoreboard for losers who sit in left field.

Yeah the high school bleachers down the lines must go. Add all chairbacks on a concrete foundation.

This would be a great first step, it's so trashy that they didn't do that from the start. They probably won't do it because it will reduce capacity. Skyline club sounds interesting I would like to see what they had in mind. It would be nice to see them come up with a new innovative idea.

And how the frick would seat cushions even work? The bleachers at the Box have seat backs. You can't put the style they use in Tiger Stadium on the Box bleachers. Would it just be an arse cushion?

The food is what I'd expect going to a Division II stadium.

All of these are good ideas, and would probably increase actual attendance and eventually, overall revenues.

But as long as there’s a waiting list for season tickets, it’ll never happen. These improvements cost money, and Joe doesn’t really give a frick about how many people show up just so long as that guaranteed income keeps rolling in without the athletic department having to put out any real outlay. It’s very shortsighted thinking.

He's a terrible athletic director. He doesn't even seem to have any pride. It's not just about the money, it's about making LSU a place where other schools/fans come here and say "holy shite why don't we do this?". It's terrible we are so focused on profits and don't even utilize them to reinvest in ourselves more than the bare minimum.

I hate you and hope you spill all your booze next year.

It could go over the RF Bleachers for all I care. Dickbutt.

Sidenote: My 9 yr old even knows how to read the little amber board from the Old Box
For those who don't know you can BARELY read the labels from 124 for balls/strikes/outs/inning/home/visitor.
So now all four of my kids have memorized the locations.

And this:

Is because of this:

One of the cardinal rules of any successful business is that you have to spend money in order to make money. Successful CEOs know this.

Joe has skewed ideas on how maximize profits. As I said before, very shortsighted. He’s penny-wise, dollar-foolish.
