Risher "the Slidell Slinger" on twitter also stated on 104.5 this evening that the reason for pass interference called against opposing teams was due to Harris under throwing balls. On the bright side the Slidell Slinger stated Harris showed he's capable of making really nice throws and that he has the arm for longer out routes and down the middle to his TE's. And that Harris needs to focus on more than just one receiver on pass plays.

Tell us something we don't know. The only deep ball that wasn't underthrown was the TD pass to Dural that was called back against Mississippi State.

I'd rather slightly underthrown balls than always overthrown.
At least the receiver has a chance to make a play.

He throws a flat ball, not a lot of air under it.

So does the d back. I'd rather the chance of the receiver getting to it or no one

I said this last week and got killed on this board. And saying that he needs to focus on more than one receiver isn't terribly insightful.

He is late on a lot of throws.
Waaay too often.
I'm sure Cam is on it, but it continues.
Strong arm, usually accurate, but still a slinger, not a QB.

That is clearly incorrect. I can remember 1 pass Dural dropped in the EMU game alone.

2 things I've noticed. First, he fires bullets. Not every pass needs to be thrown at rocket speed. secondly after the snap he makes a complete spin then fires. Maybe he'd slightly dizzy and then the ball comes out right away. That tells me he's not checking for an open man. He knows right who he is throwing to whether the man is double teamed or not. Drop back and hit the open man and if no one is open throw it away. Bottom line - don't rush the throw. Signed; (armchair quarterback).

He is just a newby, but we expect a lot. Let's hope he learns quickly.

As did I.

I got the obligatory "what game are you watching?"
I'm watching the same fking game where a wide open receiver has to slow up for a ball. That's an Underthrown pass. If it goes over a wide open receiver, it's an OVERTHROWN pass.
I'm a poor man's Billy Gonzales.

He also said to be fair, he's only 5 starts in, and the game should begin to slow down for him a bit soon.

All of his problems can be fixed with more opportunities. I'm just afraid he won't see any real quantity of repetitions until a very meaningful game in which our running game is being shut down.

The criticization of Harris was accurate but he made excuses for the receivers playing shitty which pissed me off

As you should since it is just a lazy criticism.

You've got absolutely no clue who the primary receiver is on any throw. You may be right, but there is no way to prove that.

That is a good point. I guess we could debate whether the game plans should have pushed his learning curve more e.g. the second half of the EMU game. Not passing made no sense to me.
