Game could be over after the 1st quarter if we continue our recent trend and slow start the BCSNC game.
We are not running off 41 straight points on AL ...

meh...
We cannot match the oregon tempo
We cannot win an away game with a ranked opponent
We cannot win at Bama
blah blah blah

14-17 point win for LSU and won't be surprised if it is more than 21 points.

What the Bama stat freaks don't acknowledge is that many of the yards in the first half came from busted coverages, not from lining up and pushing LSU's defense around. Won't happen this time. LSU wins easily.

Can't do this against Bama. You can mix this in there and keep them guessing but if you get predictable against a Saban team they will exploit you. Chavis will play just a few defenses from a responsibility standpoint, but he'll show dozens from an alignment standpoint. This is what he did last time, and their QB never could get comfortable. This is what he'll do on 1/9 as well.

To say Alabama didn't move the ball on LSU is moronic.

When did we join the Pac 12? You sound like an Oregon fan. You lost---overall Bama did not play well enough to win. LSU did. Alabama fans always act they are the center of the universe when it comes to being the football hotbed. Start acting like it and man up! The Bear would be ashamed.
Please prepare for counseling--it's going to be a long cold winter in Home Sweet Home Alabama!

LSU was the team that had the ball inside the 5 yard line twice and failed to score a TD, while Bama never threatened the endzone once.

Twice Bama was within inches of a TD. One was when Reid took the ball away and the other was when Claiborne broke up the pass to #15. How close the scrimmage line is to the endzone is not the only measure of how close a team was to a TD.

This idea that Bama never threatened is fiction. I think LSU will win because they gradually broke Bama on 11/5, and that was in Tuscaloosa and after throwing two very correctable interceptions. If I'm a Bama fan I don't know what I would hang my hat on. Maybe the first quarter performance on 11/5? It would have to be, because by the end of the game their offense and defense were getting whipped - and no reason to even mention special teams.

This, this and this. Did I mention this. Go back and watch that first half. 4 good plays. They rest were minimal gains or losses. There was nothing consistent about how Alabama moved the ball. To me, moving the ball consistently is 4 yards here, and then 3, 6, 12, 5, 7, etc... just moving the chains. Not 0, -4, 24, 1, -10, penalty, 12, -2.

out gained us by 56 yards....wow...I am scared. That's what they call dominating? I still have a Gump fan who thinks they won the game because they dominated us. Those Jackass Gumps are a trip.

I hate hearing about our INT at the goal line. We intercepted because they were REDUCED to running a reverse half-back pass!!

LOL, no doubt Saban was trying to do things to us that absolutely crushed him last year. He wanted Miles to feel what he felt which is ASHAMED they weren't prepared!

LSU was prepared! = Better coaching

Funny. I thought this was football and these two statements were related. My bad.

"Outgained" and "consistently" moving the ball are NOT related.

Alabama yardage by quarter
1Q - 124 yards
2Q - 101 yards
3Q - 33 yards
4Q - 79 yards
4Q - MINUS 10 yards

This is hardly "consistent".

Agreed...but we also won't need anywhere close to 41. And the 42 we ran off against UGA was against a pretty good defense that held us to ZERO first downs. And we probably won't need the 31 straight points we ran off after going down 10 the last time we played in a NC game in the Superdome either. No worries here.

Related, not equivalent. What you are bad at is reading comprehension.

Well we started off with a bang in 04 and then started off poorly in 08. We are due for a great start again this time round.
