It's going to be a great game. I think momentum will be everything this time around. These teams are too much alike.

The only numbers recorded in the books for people to see 10yrs from now is...

9-6 LSU

Sorry delusional Gumps, thats what the book will say.

Not sure that people go looking in record books for regular season games.

Like I said immediately after we won on 11/5: These two teams play a hundred times, I guarantee you both each win 50.

And I stand by that. That's what has got me the most worried to tell you the truth, the law of averages. Both teams are simply TOO GOOD to let the other one beat them twice in a row. Oh well, guess we'll just have to wait and see.

If you look at their scores and margin of victory over common opponents it's spooky how much it supports your statement!

Thinking my Tigers get it done....AGAIN!

Never thought people could turn a 9-6 loss into a victory......but the gumps have tried really hard.

Not quite. Alabama had 82 yds 1st quarter, LSU 36.

The first poster was right on the money 124-33. It's not an opinion, it's an easily verifiable fact, using the official game log. Sorry.

Fair enough, but no matter what happens on Jan. 9th...those record books will show LSU as SEC West Division Champs as well as SEC Conference Champs!

They had all the same reasons before Nov. 5 why Bama would win.... STATS!

meh...

To be honest, it would have been a great game had it been played after the arkansas game (with a one week break).

When Les has 5 weeks to prepare(that too with the game being in the superdome) - it is almost a given that LSU will win with a comparatively lop sided score of at least 14-17 points.

Bama TD, LSU FG, Bama FG half
LSU TD, LSU TD, Bama FG, LSU TD, LSU FG final

Funny. I thought this was football and these two statements were related. My bad.

Don't know if I'd consider under 300 yards of total offense consistently moving the ball all game

Neither offense did such a thing

What was the average field position and what was the difference of yards gained in the kicking game. Net yards in punting?

Ironically I think that Wing had one of his few shank punts in that game

But he also boomed one for over 70 yards

==END OF 1st QUARTER==
LSU 0, ALABAMA 0
======================

43+62+19=124 less 10 penalty yds = 114 actual yards gained 1st quarter. I stand corrected. If you add in the initial 26 kickoff return yards it's 150 yds.

Somehow I missed the 19 yd pass in the 2nd drive and the 19 yd pass in the drive just before end of quarter.

They claim 13 titles when they have eight, so I knew if the game was close then they would try and claim a win in the game.

Outgained is obvious outgained. Maybe that's where they get it.

you also had more field to cover because you were kicking field goals yall knew you couldnt make...and because our punter is good

short field, less yards, more red zone opportunities

outplayed? hardly

The teams are so similar??? No way. Bama is coached by a classless douchebag who among other things voted OSU 4th (chickenshit) and didn't even clap when Blackmon won the Biletnikoff award again.

Miles has class, saban's an arse.

Have a great day.
