Kevin Scarbinsky is hated by both auburn and alabama fans and no one reads the Birmingham news up here anymore.

we lost because of TM7. Why don't you guys see that?!?!

That game was so pitiful that is is impossible to blame any single person. Football is such a team sport that 1 person is really never responsible for a W or an L. Every single play depends on a number of players.

AJ Mac had a career game against us in the BCS game. He may have had his greatest day as a college football player. Fact of the matter is though is that TM7 is not a great cover man.

They truly believe that a couple of very well thrown passes that the receivers made great plays on meant that Tyrann was a liabilty in pass coverage.

I just don't buy that he is a complete "liability" in coverage. Fact of the matter is that is wasn't so much his "bad" coverage in the BCS game, as much as it was McCarron making some great throws. Give McCarron his due. There aren't alot of college DB's who could have done anything with where those throws were placed.

This guy probably sleeps with an Alabama teddy bear at night.

Well he's definately biased towards Auburn and most Alabama fans hate the guy. He's a hack either way. But just because somebody lives in Alabama doesn't mean they sleep with an Alabama teddy bear.

Scar actually writes good articles and to me there is no evidence of homerism in it. Its funny b/c he is hated by both auburn and bama fanbases.

Everytime a tard says he's not good in coverage, I ask them to name a game other than the nc that he stunk up. They never can

Remember, the Birmingham News is owned by the same company that owns the New Orleans Times-Picayune. They are cutting back to three days a week, too, this fall. These reporters are rightfully desperate about their job security and nothing helps more than throwing raw meat to the Tide fans.

Come on, we all know LSU took that L cause of who played/who didn't play QB.

But you are correct...football, more than most sports, is pretty much all decided by team action.

There will be alot of changes with the media in Birmingham come the fall. There has been tons of rumors going around that JOX will not renew Finescum's contract nor the Jox Roundtable guys Jim dunaway(my favorite sports media guy up here), LT and Brown combined with the Bham news going to 3 days a week.

bama fans are a lot like tejas fans. they can't stand any other program having positive pub, great players, etc. it has to be about them or they simply tear down others, directly or subtly. tyrann had a bad game but so did pretty much our entire offense. these type of bammers are like the prom queen in high school that must have all the attention and spins every situation to be about her.

yep. When auburn gets any pub up here, the gumps go into crisis lockdown. They almost got driven to the funny farm in 2010 with Cam.

I thought Finebaum was leaving, but what the hell is JOX doing not renewing the Roundtable? That's a great show, I listen online as much as possible.

Scarbinsky is definitely an Auburn guy, gumps in Bham hate him. But he's not that far off base here. Mathieu's cover skills are not awful, but when he goes against a really tall receiver like Hunter from Tenn he can be a liability, esp when the qb puts the ball on the money. That's what McCarron did on 1/9, his throws were on the money and there was nothing Mathieu could do, even if his coverage was perfect. What made TM7 so special was his ability to create big plays when we needed them the most, not his cover skills.

I love how Bama fans feel they found some formula to beat TM7. Oh, all you need to do is have your QB throw passes in a window so small that most NFL QB's couldn't do it consistently. So, to beat our overrated corner, all you need to do is to gameplan for your QB to have the best game of his life. that's not a plan, really. Good on McCarron for pulling it off, but the fact that was the gameplan shows how great TM7 is.

lol wut? He gave up 3 catches that game, 2 of which came in zone coverage playing 10 yards off the wr.

Hmm, more than three catches in this video and at 3:00 he's just blown off his spot.

Missed tackles all over the place, giving up on plays, etc. Weird how wrong you are.

Look, every player has an off game, TM7's came during the Tenn game.
