frick alafrickingbama....the past is for historians, whining women and nega's. the present is for those with the courage and desire to prepare for the coming storm and the future is nothing more than an opportunity for greatness.

we can and will prevail.

get rested, get better, get ready...get even.

The other problem is that Alabama intimidates everyone by destroying them

Boy, they intimidated A&M this season, just absolutely demolished them, just like allowing A&M to beat them in T-town last year.... C'mon, if a team has athletes capable of playing with Bama they can play them tight given good coaching and player effort. Miles' teams have played Bama very competitively home and away. If they can't get focused on this opponent it's on the players.

Comments like these would be hilarious if they weren't so goddamned sincere.

The first part about them being "disciplined and crisp" is definitely true, though. Saban is by no means perfect, but week after week (and year after year) I don't think I've ever seen a team with fewer miscues. Even when they lose, everyone seems to be following the game plan--even if it's not the right plan.

It's not like LSU did not move the ball well in the first half...

I agree with this. One thing I'll never understand is Les' reluctance to ever go for the jugular as quick as possible.

But it is what it is. I don't think any of Les' teams are intimidated by Alabama and I surely don't think Les is intimidated by Saban.

So, that's cool if Les wants to have his philosophy of 'not going for the jugular' as you say (and I agree). So one way of overcoming the flaws in the philosophy is to use a shut down defense (not a prevent defense) to prevent the other team from scoring and moving the ball, thus negating the need to put up a lot of points.

But we don't do this, why?

I'm basically referring to the lesser teams which don't even think they have a shot at any point in the game- they get destroyed from start to finish. We talked about focus, discipline and 'finishing', Saban's teams have it, Miles teams do not.

so what is the excuse when Saban's team let lesser teams hang around, or better yet, beat them?

because that does happen every year for Saban's teams

for some reason the rant just seems to ignore this

How am I supposed to know? I'm not on the coaching staff nor do I play for LSU. I don't know what goes on in coaches meeting rooms nor players meetings.

The only answer anyone has for that is speculation. Nothing more, nothing less.

Colorado St. was in the game 17-10 until late.
Georgia St. laid 175 total yards on Alabama.

I bring up Georgia St. because everyone is whining about Furman.

even if you tack on those extra 21 points, you would think that if Miles was such a retard, and Saban such a genius, that the points would be much more lopsided, no?

LSU will beat Alabama.

LSU will beat A&M.

LSU will beat Arkansas.

Auburn will lose to Georgia.

Auburn will beat Alabama.

So what you're saying is that if we average out the score through all the match ups...

Saban wins EVERYTIME
