Is this thread about "AJ" McCarron?

I thought it looked more like Marcus Randal
100% agree. For those who don't know, he is the one who threw the pass to Jack Hunt in the Bluegrass Miracle game.

Lmao at the comparisons to Jefferson in this thread. AJ's release is MUCH quicker than Jefferson ever had. JJ's release was fricking UGLY. It seemed like it took him 10 seconds to wind up and throw. Partly why he held on to the ball too much and got KILLED a lot. AJ's release looks faster than Mettenberger...

His mechanics/delivery remind me a little of Rohan. Remember, we just saw 2 yrs of arm strength that only comes around every so often. I'll take the athleticism for the trade off of a slightly "weaker" arm. The kid still has an above average right arm. I watched him his entire sr yr on local sports highlights. Kid can play. Cam will tweak some things. If you don't recall, Mett had a few problems, pre cam.

Jennings' release looks like a quarterback's, Jefferson's looked like a pitcher's or outfielder's.

i just watched both
jennings is still more tighter and i agree jeffersons is more like an outfielder

Stared down Dural the entire time on the TD pass. Not good
Wrong. If you watch the replay closely, he was looking at Landry and then his head swivelled slightly to the left toward Dural before launching the pass.

We're really critiquing a game winning 49 yd bomb thrown by a green freshman? The kid threw the ball as the WR's got the needed separation. It was fkin beautiful. Hell, I'll take the auburn/ga bomb if it means we win. Some miserable/unsatisfiable people on here.

Why ya bitchin' at me, bro? I'm tryin' to show ZTiger87 and a few other bozos that the play happened because AJ10 did NOT stare down Travin Dural. If you watch the backside replay a few minutes after the catch, you'll see that the DB took a step toward the inside (at Landry) which allowed TD to separate. Tim Brando kept talking about a slight twitch by Travin that caused the DB to bite, but it was AJ's look at Landry that caused the separation.

My post wasnt aimed at you. That's just where I placed it. Was just responding to those who want to shite on a great drive by a young QB. Guess what. He will have his struggles. He'll look lost sometimes. He'll make incorrect reads and sometimes turn the ball over. Part of the QB maturation process. Can't wait to see him against Iowa.
