I think Harris is more than capable. Why get him, when it means Harris on the sideline for another season? What Harris needs is snaps. Only one way to get them. Just my opinion.

This is exactly what I think. People need to look at 2016. We could have these as returning starters.

2 WR juniors
4 OL
TE senior
RB junior
2 DT senior, junior
1-2 DE senior or rs sophomore, junior
OLB senior
CB sophomore or junior
NB rs senior
FS junior

Add in a junior QB with more than a year of experience, and you have a team seasoned enough to go all the way undefeated.

I want a returning starter at QB in 2016, to take advantage of the massive amount of experienced talent we will have.

I was responding to that...It means you just don't know if Harris will ever get to the point that Braxton Miller is at. That LSU team is way too talented to have struggles at the QB position. It's a team talented enough to win it all next season. Better maximize your potential while you can. These other teams in the SEC are doing whatever it takes...

Comparing this to Russell Shepard is highly ridiculous though.

Harris has a stronger arm than Miller, and even more after Miller's shoulder surgery. When is the last time Miller took snaps from under center, and I mean a good bit? The guy would have a hard time trying to learn how to change how he has played his whole career.

Wilson went from a more complex pro style system to a similar, but simplier pro style system. Miller would thrive in auburn's spread system, but wouldn't have enough time to learn how to play QB in LSU's pro style system.

Miles would WASTE his talent and he would sit behind the worse QB in the NCAA

There is an SEC rule that says this can't happen.

That is what I thought, but someone posted they lifted the rule this season.

Indeed - he needs a competent Coach. A million bucks apparently does not go too far these days .............

It is amazing how some people will continue to argue until they pass out blue in the face even after it has been documented that what they are saying is incorrect.

So many confident people that really should not be confident.

he was pretty accurate early on with the deep ball ...

I thought it was a good article and I enjoy a fresh outlook from someone outside the program ...
he may not be spot on about everything but where he is correct is BH just wasn't ready ...
but our fans rather think they know more about the players than the coaching staff that is with them every day ...

I also believe one of the two BH or AJ if not both will come around and be very good quarterbacks ...

All Braxton Miller threads should be erased! We already have plenty of QB talent for everyone to complain about.

SMH. Talking about taking snaps from under center or in a Gun, and trying to make it the basis of your argument, is like saying 1+1 equals 2. That's the most simple thing ever, man. Let's talk concepts, route combinations, philosophy etc. Miller could learn how to take every snap the rest of his life from center in a couple of weeks.

What would trip him out is going from a digit-based vertical system to one with pure horizontal concepts (ask Eli Manning now). OSU has a lot of pro-style concepts in its passing game despite running from the Gun and the Pistol the majority of the time.

Can we quit with the basic stuff -- give me more credit than that man. All I do is write about football from sun up to sun down -- as it's my job. I'm not saying Braxton Miller is a slam dunk in anything, because even going to Auburn would provide him with a lot of concepts that aren't prevalent at OSU.

This is the reason I stressed the versatility in Cameron's playbook, ad nauseum, as one of the reasons why it could work. Cameron will continue to evolve his scheme -- like he's done over the course of his career.

As for Harris having a stronger arm than Braxton Miller, says who? Miller's arm is plenty strong and he's proven that in an offense that ges vertical quite a bit. And if his arm is stronger, what does it ultimately matter?

I'm not comparing it to Russell Shepard, just the fact that plenty of people swore he'd play over Jordan Jefferson and it never happened. WOuld you like me to compare it to Jamarcus and Ryan Perrilloux?

It's all good man. Just agree to disagree.
