After listening to President Tate yesterday, he is all in on sports

He is always involved with LSU athletics and he is invested. You can see President Tate and Scott Woodward are on the same page and he wants to win! After going through F King Alexander and Joe Alleva disaster, it’s very refreshing to see Tate and Woodward in alignment. We are in good hands in LSU athletics.

Tate actually understands athletics can help boost enrollment which in turn creates a larger pool of potential future donors.
Serious, frick F King, dude hated how much attention LSU sports got.

He offers the same views/spirit on the other aspects of the University as well. If you research his Pentagon of Protection model, the university is in good hands IMO

Agree.
He wants excellence in every aspect of the university. Something that should be taken for granted, but sadly it's a refreshing change.

I've slowly pivoted on Tate, and I agree he seems invested and hugely supportive of LSU athletics.

So does the Rant like him now? Or is he still too woke?

Had a class with John Lombardi when he was president and he emphasized that success in athletics was one of the best things a university could do to improve itself.
Teams on TV and winning means free advertising which leads to more kids applying so you can afford to be more selective with admissions. It also helps alumni donations go up on the academic side.

F King Alexander did not understand that concept to save his life

Tate has been awesome. The complete opposite that the rant meltdown alluded to when we hired him.

Tate has been all LSU and completely surprised me. He's embraced athletics and having him in line with the AD is awesome for overall support.

It can be both. I prefer him not be as progressive as he is, but if it doesn't prevent us from sharing a view of the future of the University. Then I'll live with it.

Lombardi got it. He was good for LSU.

Yep, I'm riding with Tate. You can tell he loves LSU sports and loves winning.

Aside from the critical race theory shite…
Tate seems to be a very, very positive thing for lsu. Dude is killing it on the athletic trail

He sounded like a college kid, not the president of LSU.

Yep- Snoop-Dog could not have done better !!

Doesn’t matter if you like it or not, athletics are the front porch of your university. Guys that understand that usually preside over fantastic institutions

We thought the same thing. Loved the energy he brought!
