Jimbo Fisher said it himself, it’s not a rivalry until A&M beats LSU.

The LSU / Bama matchup is fizzling out. Birmingham already decided a close game would go to A&M to create more competition.

The SEC needs A&M to be successful way more than they need LSU to be.

If you care about winning NCs or being in the play off it is stupid to stay in SEC.

A&M was extremely lucky last night. Granted they never gave up but when you’re even benefiting from your negative plays what else can you call it? ESPN had the Tigers win probability at 99.7% with 46 secs left. But despite all that, all that you listed, the fumble, the dumb and the questionable penalties it still took them 7 OT’s to beat us.

We have won 3 NCs as part of the SEC.

Is that why we conceded instead of trying to get the first down on our last possession in regulation? Because Birmingham?

As long as the SEC office thinks we will never even consider leaving the SEC, no matter what, they will continue to screw us over whenever it suits them. TigerJeff is right. They need to at least be worried that LSU will stand up for themselves. They KNOW which coaches they can and cannot screw like that

You can’t prove intent unless someone admits intent. There is a pattern of bias against LSU. The officiating sucked last night period. We shouldn’t have been in that position last night. We should have/could have beat them in regulation. LSU blew that game. Now on to the bias- Spend the money on facilities , recruit better by any means, hire the best coaches, promote yourself nationally(schedule USC to a home and home/ schedule Virgina Tech to a home and home. Teams irrelevant but you get the idea), create a rivalry outside of the SEC by doing the previous item and kick every bodies arse. Then it won’t matter if all the calls go against LSU.

Stopped reading there. Texas says hi and wants to know why A&M switched conferences.

I still think LSU should evaluate leaving the SEC and joining the Big 12 or ACC.

Just the threat of leaving could help balance the playing field. Coaches do it all the time to get better deals. SEC brings LSU a lot of money but LSU also brings a heck of a lot of money to the SEC. There are only a handful of teams whose brands are as big as LSU’s.

This might sound stupid but I would enjoy watching the SEC sweat. They would have to answer a lot of questions if there were talks of LSU switching. The media would have a hay day with this story line.

so you want to leave a conference run by Alabama to go to a conference that is quite literally run by Texas?

a conference that actually allows Texas and ONLY TEXAS have their own damn network?

"The media would have a hay day with this story line" Exactly right! If Lsu doesn't raise hell about this now it's going to get much worse for us. The more we act like the SEC's doormat, the more they will step on us. Refs couldn't have been THAT incompetent. Over and over, they took away Lsu winning plays until the aggies could finally get the win. It took 7OTs, but it was intentional

With Saban at Alabama and what Fisher will be doing at A&M and Mullen at Florida, I could easily see LSU getting left behind over the next 2-5 years.

My friend texted me after the game and brought up an interesting stat:

The SEC has four really good/great coaches in Mullen, SAban, Smart, and Fisher. O lost 3/4 in head to head this year. That's pretty concerning for our future if that trend continues.
