The sheer number of fanbases calling for a coaching change is staggering this early in the season. Some justified, some not. It can all be traced back to one person - NICK SABAN. Admit it Tiger fans - we all suffer from Saban Envy. He has truly changed the game and moved the bar on what is considered "success" in college football. Sorry - 10 win seasons are just not good enough any more. It's conference championship, playoffs, Natty, or bust.

Just google the term Saban Envy and see how many articles have been written about this condition. There's been some talk about making it an official medical diagnosis. Not sure if you suffer from this condition? Symptoms of Saban Envy include (but are not limited to):
- Increased heart rate and blood pressure when watching Saban coach
- Depression, anxiety, or mood swings following a loss to Saban
- Anger outbursts when Saban
- Decreased work productivity in week following a loss to Saban
- Split Personality causing you to throw tantrums like a 7 year old during game against Saban
- Exponential increase in the use of profanity
- Marital problems b/c wife cannot believe you can act like said 7 year old above
- Constant feelings of inferiority causing a permanent coaching "hot seat" for any coach who followed in his footsteps.

True Tiger fans will be real and own up to this. I've never understood why so many people hate Nick Saban around here - especially after what he did for our program and the trajectory that he helped set it on after years of mediocrity. Miles was able to keep that up - at least for a while - but now seems to have gone past his expiration date.

The sad truth is - hate this strong can only be borne out of love. We loved Saban when he was here but now everytime we see him coaching on the opposing sideline and winning all these championships it's a constant reminder of "what might have been" had he stayed at LSU with all the talent that this state provides. (frick the Dolphins).

I have no problem being a founding member of Saban Envy Anonymous. "Hi - I'm TigerFan244, and I suffer from Saban envy." First step in solving this problem is admitting you have one.

Aaah but my Doctor said there IS a cure for Saban Envy - he said "Go get Tom Herman and call me in the morning!"

I don't know why anyone would not admit this

Who isn't envious of the success that Saban and Bama have had recently?

He'll be gone soon. He's going to blow a gasket on the sideline one day.

He's the enemy. Him being at Bama has tainted what could have been the greatest era of LSU Football. Add in that he is the most powerful person in College Football. How can you not hate him?

I want our team to play to its full potential and win. Could care less about Urban Meyer, Nick Saban or the next coach who wins a NC. Just hope it's our team.

I'll admit that Saban envy is real. Hell, i'm starting to envy Ohio State, FSU, Clemson, Michigan, and even schools like Michigan State. They've all had more success in the previous 2 years than LSU and that's just ridiculous.

The quality and number of NFL players that LSU has produced over the past few years should demand that we won more than we have. Saban envy is real, but we aren't even hitting the 10 win mark anymore and we just lost to a Wisconsin team full of 3* players and Walk-ons.

Wanting a better product isn't just "Saban envy". I'm envious of a lot of major CFB programs right now. The only way to keep LSU football from spiraling into a Tennessee, Michigan, USC type decline is to get Herman next year. Miles has had a nice run. He's put a lot of players in the league, recruited well, and kept our nose clean. Perfect time for him to ride off into the sunset at the end of the season, and allow us to bring in Herman.

Nope. Just want a significantly more competent coach than the incumbent.

I'm more amazed than envious how Bama continues to recreate itself every year and not lose a step.

Just wish we had a competent offense one entire year.

The irony is that as such a little man, he's got to have a proportionally small penis...

Good Lord. I am sick & tired of LSU fans kissing saban's arse. I do not hate him but I have moved on, many yrs ago & yet LSU fans continue to slobber all over him. It's even worse when these threads show up on the SEC Rant & all the other fans mock us for our fan base's saban love. Finebaum is the absolute worst but some LSU fans could write his bama pimping scripts for him. This post may be the absolute worst ever, however.

Admit that we and everyone else are envious of 4 championships in the last 7 years???

Yeah i'm gonna go out on a limb and say that every football team/fan outside of Alabama is envious of that.
