Oh boy, LSU fans talkin about another fanbase.
By the way, it was different this year. We decided, after last season in the red stick to be more hostile. It was openly talked about and the words we used were "make LSu fans miserable".
Ask any fan of another school and they will tell thats what they get in BTR. Its probably gonna be that way in Ttown from here on out so if you dont want to get harrassed dont come. On the subject of cheering with an injury, no one will argue that has no place in sports until he is deemed to be ok. You are spot on there.
Anyway, on fans talking sh-t, God knows we've had to put up with it for years there. What did you always say..oh its just in fun..well so was this.

I attended the game yesterday with my father and father--in-law who both are TIGER fans. I had no bad experiences with any LSU fans at the game, the ones I encountered with were great. ALL TEAMS have their share of classless fans, I just tend to avoid them. Great game guys!

All these posts saying that it was just the Alabama student section cheering in response to LSU fans cheering while a player was down are complete shite. The entire stadium would cheer when we had a player down, and then in the 4th quarter they actually booed T-Bob when he got up from being injured. I mean doing Bama cheers when a player is down is one thing, but actually booing when a player gets up, that is a whole different level of classless.

I went to Tuscalooser in '03 and everything was fine... course they were used to getting their arse beat at that point. I've always thought the majority of Bama fans were pretty classy,they got their idiots like everyone else.

It also appears that you suffer from "douchebaggery" since you picked the day after your team's thievery/victory to log in and post. You won't have to go to Wikepedia for that one. Just walk across your room in your parents' basement to a mirror and look in it.
If the Dungeons and Dragons convention happens to be in Baton Rouge next year and it coincides with the Bama game..........I look forward to seeing you there.

i got to b.d.stadium about 1030a. in purple and gold, i walked around the campus and university street for a couple of hours. i was treated w/ cordiality and hospitality. i needed to use the stadium facilities many times (prostate) and i had no problems. john parker wilson's uncle worked one of the gates and was very friendly to me and he and others greeted me warmly. i was seated mostly in an lsu section (4uu) but sat next to a young bama couple who i treated cordially and they were friendly back. leaving the stadium, i was mostly greeted w/ "great game" and treated fairly.
i really think we get what we want.

Guys.. I know you have no reason to believe this.. But I was in the Alabama student section..
The LSU fans in the upper deck who were seated on the first row right above the student section started chanting L.S.U during some of those injuries.. Then they followed up with the Gator chomp later in the fourth during an injury.. It really got the student section going and they started doing the Ala.... and Bama.... cheer.. That is 100% the truth and what happened with the student section..
If you paid attention.. They were all looking away from the field and up to the upper deck.. It was pretty cool.. Sorry if you guys were offended.. I thought your fans were awesome this weekend..
And you have my permission to contiune to bring hot LA girls dressed in purple and gold every time you make the trip
