The last few games must have reminded him of his days at LSU. Pitching his arse off and giving up a run or 2 in a loss.

Strong outing but no decision. Gave up 2ER through 6 innings. 7K's. The Phillies reliever took the loss.

Keep getting-up Aaron!

I wish Nola was on a better team than the Phillies so he could get some wins on the games where he preforms well but his team can't back him up

He lost two games combined in his last two seasons so not sure what you are referencing

Lifelong phillies fan here. The phillies have the best minor league record in all of baseball and have the second youngest average age in minor league baseball. They have 3 guys in AAA that are mashing the ball. They will be picking first in the draft next year. They will be winning again soon.

I guess the giggling is for the phillies not winning again. You have a point, they have no recent track record of success: 5 straight nl east titles in the mid 2000s and a world series title in 2008.

Franco has been a huge bust they are trying to move
Brown they released
Crawford wasn't doing well last I checked
Herrea has regressed
Hernandez isn't playing as well as last year
Even the young staff has taken a step back and the farm is outside the top 5. They are not close

Is Brown Dominick Brown? He was roomies with Babe Ruth. D Brown has been gone at least 3 seasons. They have the best record in the minors AND are the second YOUNGEST in the minors. Some organizations have a good farm record, but they do it with veteran retreads- the phillies currently aren't doing that.

go look at the fricking runs scored Javi and get back to me. There were 8 no decisions and his ERA was sub-2 average for those years. Sub 2! WTF. He deserved better than that. 1 year he was a Saturday starter as I recall.

Cubs need another starter and Nola would be a perfect fit.

His sophomore and junior years, when he was a full time weekend starter, he went 12-1 and 11-1, respectively. That's really fricking good.

You don't know what you're talking about

He was a highly rated prospect that didn't do much of anything with the Phillies. Like the others I mentioned.... Congrats on having a winning minor league record, because that always translates into winning at the MLB level right?

Yeah and he wins another 6 games with any run support just those 2 years and any luck whatsoever the second half of he freshman year he is squarely facing the LSU record for wins with any run support Javi.
What I do know is I distinctly recall the travesty of the no decisions and the couple of losses.

I still don't know if that is dominick brown you are talking about, but he is long gone. It's not just the great minor league record, but the fact they don't have a bunch of older mercenaries winning those games.

You make it seem like he received awful run support, but winning 11 and 12 games a hear without a win in omaha says otherwise. I wont argue javi was a good coach, but nola wasnt screwed over on run support any more or less than other lsu aces
