Yeah, and an uncalled facemask as he released that ball went uncalled. AWFUL officials all night with 175 penalty yards don't help you when your defense is short-handed.

A&M's defense is not great, by any means. But it is certainly solid.

I learned what a sieve is because of this thread.

This is why I use Tigerdroppings every day.

Does that mean that it was actually called? Like one of those double-negative rules?

j/k

I think you are looking at the stats incorrectly in regards to A&M's defense.

They give up lots of points because they play defense for a whole lot more plays because of the pace of the game. More possessions, more plays = more chances to score. A better stat to look at is yards allowed per play:

LSU #2 at 3.1 yards per play.
A&M #39 at 5.1 yards per play.

So not top 25 defense, but I would give it some respect considering they will be going from playing one of the top offenses in NCAA to an average offense at best.

We had better be up for this one. They have had this circled for months. Our offense is still pretty damn mediocre. The Aggie defense isn't Florida or South Carolina but its probably better than Auburn

Don't count your chicken before they hatch! They may be as tight as a crab's arse this Saturday and the ghost of the Crush Crew may return. The Tigers will either struggle for yardage or the Mettenbomber will be unleashed and Hillfordwarelandiard will run wild

Aggies were up 27-0...

what happened?

They seem to get worn down...see UF game

Miles will probably put the ground game in overload...

close at half, then LSU pulls away by 2 scores.

No excuses for 50 points, though - our defense definitely had a weak game.

When our Defense has a weak game, we give up 14 points on the road against the team that beat you.

We gave up three touchdowns Saturday.

-Pick 6 returned inside the 5
-50+ yard punt-return short field legit score
-Prevent Defense TD <5 minutes left

Coming into the game, Lattimore was an All-American Tailback, & Shaw had completed 41 of his last 48 passes. South Cackalack was no slouch.

Just as you are not reinventing the wheel on offense, either. Your O has been through her once before in the mid 90's when Sumlin's mentor's mentor was busy teaching it & turning Tim Couch into a Top 5 pick & Dusty Bonner into the SEC's leading passer (before transferring to Valdosta).

You don't scare us. We've been there and done that. You may wanna try to act like you've been here before. Except I know you haven't, and neither has your team.

Yet LSU has a way of making any defense look like the early 2000 Ravens. Remember Auburn we score 12 and Ole Miss scores 41. We have to be able to throw the damn ball, if we don't hit them in the mouth early it could be a bad day.

Are you this fun in person? I've seen some pessimistic people but you have to be the trophy winner.

You never have anything positive to say.

I think this is their biggest problem. The Aggies average less time of possession per game than their opponents, largely due to their offensive style. Their defense is better than their total defense ranking suggests, but by the second half, their lack of depth starts to get exposed and they wear down. If LSU's run game can get going like against S. Carolina, they can keep Manziel on the sideline and pull away late.

When LSU fields a offense I'll quit being pessimistic about their chances. They have shite the bed on offense in every road game this year. La Tech's offense is better than ours and that is sorry to say the least. Just saying this game has the making to be another frustrating one. Miles trying to run straight into 9-10 in the box, crowd going nuts and keeping the faggies in it, while our offense shoots itself in the foot.

Remember Georgia? They only put up 7 on USC, our offense must be amazing.
