They were heading home...In Omaha.

There are a lot of locals who attend the CWS and while some support LSU, they are not the fans represented by our "travel squad". I seriously doubt any Tiger fans who travelled up left early. The announcer showed a shot of people leaving, they weren't wearing P&G but that didn't prevent his a-hole comment.

Or save the life of ramdom opposing fans. LSU fans are trashy.

Love how this gets thrown around and how quickly people forget two LSU fans saved a Florida fans life.

That was an incredibly terrible look on TV....made LSU fans look like bitches.

disagree, our fans looked and sounded amazing the entire tournament. Florida fans looked more like bitches for not even showing up

As somebody who just enjoys watching sports, seeing the LSU crowds for the games has me wanting to make the trip for the tournament, especially if the team returns to Omaha next year.

I find it hard to criticize anyone who left when I didn't even make the trip

This time marks my 3rd Trip (2013, 2015, 2017) We were only able to go to the Friday/Saturday OSU games this time due to prior commitments and work. If you have not gone (and like baseball) you need to get up there. It is a fantastic event.

What I saw on TV reporting LSU fans leaving early is BS. This are locals, not Tiger fans. They leave every game when it appears decided.

Hated the end, we're the last losers but that's still better than 292 other teams!!!

Nothing like ruining good mojo by bringing bad luck. If we won with your arse on the couch keep your arse on the couch. I feel like Omaha was a popularity contest for the people who went last minute. It became the cool thing to do for people I know who hadn't watched a game all year.

I can tell you this much -- for a fan like me that watches from my couch, there is no greater pride than 2 things:

1.) My Tigers winning
2.) Seeing the stands FULL of Purple and Gold

The cameras panned the stadium numerous times throughout both games and our numbers were impressive. Very impressive. That stadium was a sea of Purple and Gold and you could hear the "GEAUX TIGERS" Chants every time they started out.

It was that way during the Oregon State pair of games as well.

Our fans are the best!!!

And I promise you, that much support fuels the players and attracts potential future players.

We noticed a lot of the "FL fans" around us weren't wearing any orange/blue. Didn't even know they were there for Florida-they weren't cheering until the 8th and 9th. Had that chomp down, though.

Lsu fans outnumbered Florida fans 15-1 easily, but I am going to have to quit going. I must be bad luck. I have been in Omaha for their last three appearances and with me in the stands they have gone 1-6

This was my 6th trip, 1st to Finals. Alex Box North came to life last 2 days. Just couldn't pull it off. 5-9 record in Omaha. Take out the 0-4 under Smoke, and I'm 0.500.

But it has to be great for the program for kids around the country to see how our fans support them if they come to LSU compared to other teams.
The University of Florida has very weak Baseball fan support.

How do they get those pitchers on campus, when most of ours go pro?

LSU has to figure out a way to beat Florida in baseball. Remember, they kicked our arses in Gainesville too. (In all sports for that matter)

It was my 1st trip to the new ballpark and I had a great time. I usually don't get to go because I always travel to the softball regionals, supers, and WCWS, but now that I'm retired, I had time to be able to do both.

OKC is fine, but Omaha is a thousand times better because they love us. OKC just loves OU and screw everyone else. Wish Omaha had a softball stadium!!
