They have talent, they are just all freshmen, plus Doughty. This team isn’t doing shite this year

The veterans on the team didn’t hit the little quality pitching they saw last year, and the team as a whole has had very poor games against guys throwing 86 that command the zone. Also, there will come a time where the freshman are just completely outclassed just because that’s the growing pains of a young player.

Yes they can obviously get better and prove something but it’s not an outlandish statement for me to make from what we’ve seen so far this year.

The LSU baseball Dick riders are truly something else. If you have legitimate concern about the team you get attacked

Yeah and what did Hill do before that random historically bad inning? Dominate. What do you think the projected first rounder is going to normally look like? That or what he did before that???

And by talent gap/young talent you’re talking about Cade Doughty who was a TOP 35 player nationally coming out of HS. He and Crews are big leaguers playing for LSU. Morgan would’ve been drafted high in a normal year. Beloso was the best hitter in the state for 2 years. This team has a ton of talent and is currently gaining experience. They’ve hung double digit runs enough times to be in the top 10 nationally. 21 dongs. This team is fricking loaded and y’all can bitch about some fictional talent issue after a bad weekend (13-0 yesterday) all you want and I’ll point and laugh. Christ I’m taking crazy pills simply responding to you losers.

In the 2 losses this weekend, they had a total of two extra base hits. Combined. Lol

I've been consistent in saying this for years about "Lesticles" Mainieri. He is just not a good game coach....PERIOD. Let me hear from all the sunshine pumpers, and idiots that call you names about talking the truth. I've been an LSU fan since 1959, so I don't need to hear that I'm not a "true" fan. Please.....

I mean this kind of was a once a season type weekend. I’d put the first loss on Jaden Hill giving up 8 runs and only getting one out. That kind of screwed us for the rest of that game. I’d bet that that doesn’t happen again. And then today they scored 2 runs on one play with 2 errors. That one is on the players too.

I do disagree with some of Paul’s decisions such as continuing to start Bianco at SS. That is frustrating because he usually loves to change the lineups early in the year and this is the perfect time to do that with our injuries. I have been disappointed that he hasn’t changed the lineup/positions enough.

Same. Shocked at how much he has kept the same starting lineup

Just look at his great record. It's difficult to beat Swaggert Bible College, SUNO JV and Dillard Intramural, all of the time, eventually they'll win a few.

Why the hell is this the benchmark??? I hear that all the time...HoStInG a ReGiOnAl...you realize hosting a regional is meaningless?
]

16 teams host so that means you are one of the top 16 teams in the country. It gives you a good shot at making it to Omaha, and it’s where we are predicted to end up. I understand wanting more but if we can host a regional I say we are in good shape, room for improvement sure but in good shape.

My expectations are this

Host a regional almost every year
Top 8 seed 1 of every 3/4 years
Make it to Omaha 1 of every 3/4 years
Have a championship caliber team once every 5 years and maybe win it once or twice a decade.

One of the losses was a historic blowout...please explain to me why he is the guy.
Because he wears Purple and Gold. He's Omnipotent; to be worshipped and idolized. Don't say anything bad about our LSU HC. We love him. Early in the season. Just a non-SEC game. A loss; no problem. We'll be Fine. That's just Baseball.

Typical pm coaching decisions
Could have left edwards in another inning
Stealing bianco for no reason
Getting ahead in counts and not making the pitcher work when the pitcher was clearly struggling finding the zone
Our pitchers need to make them chase when ahead in count 0-2 or 1-2 but this pitch to contact approach
Is awful when ahead in the count
