Great post and connection between two great schools. Also Go Rams. Spent 12 years in Fort Collins with season tickets during the Lubick era. But I did love me some Buffs during The Mac years beating the Nebraska Corndogs. I’ve got some super good friends that are Buffs. Good people. You’re welcome here anytime.

Awesome post. Colorado has always been one of my favorite non-LSU programs to follow. I used to dominate anyone who wanted to step up on NCAA 91 (I think that was the correct game year) back in the day with a Colorado team that had Kordell Stewart, Ray Carruth (x), Rashan Salam, and Michael Westbrook. There was also some ridiculous CB on that team that would pick off everything. My brother absolutely broke at least two Sega controllers trying to beat me. They were fun to watch in real life, too ... that catch against Michigan. Wow!

Good stuff. I root for CSU except for one game a year. Er...maybe two...

I want all Colorado programs to do well. I will admit that I do root for the Zoomies over CSU. I just like to see the kids at service academies do well.

Glad you root for the Buffs all of the other weeks!

Chris Hudson, if I remember correctly.

Won the Thorpe award.

Edit: Sorry guys. I apparently really suck at using your board. I can’t get what I’m replying to.... to appear. I appreciate your patience with me.

Anyway, very cool responses from all of you! Even found some Colorado/LSU/Buffs! If that makes any sense.

To the guy who talked about not seeing CU on the TV anymore.... well... thank Larry Scott. PAC-12 commissioner. Basically made a template on how to keep your conference invisible on the television. So frustrating.

Great post and awesome reminder how CU and LSU football have some interconnections. Good luck to the Buffs this year!

Lol. I just find it kinda funny that you picked the only game out of 6 that Colorado has beaten LSU. Whatever though, cool story. I know it is about the whole cu announcer from baton rouge and all, but i would like to hear his remembrance of the '73, '74, '79, and '80 games as well. Give us his whole body of work you know? It's a subtle brag from the op, and most idiots won't realize it. LSU owns Colorado. Geaux Tigers.

I talked to a tiger defensive lineman a long time ago about that game A good many of the Colorado players had served in Vietnam before going to college and we’re older . Some had mustaches and other facial hair which wasn’t really allowed for the Tigers of that time . Colorado also had some talent to go along with the hardened Vietnam veterans , Cliff Branch , being one .
Also some very famous future head coaches on that staff along with some other names , Jerry Claiborne head coach at Kentucky for a long time , Jim Mora. , Steve Sidwell, and a Dan Radakovich

I wish that CU and LSU played regular home/away games. That would be a great trip to make, with tons of stuff to do. Make it in November so we can leave here a day early and get a day of skiing in before normal away game festivities.

Definitely sorry it came across that way. It was not my intent.

I also don’t think you guys would want me linking every Zim video I could find. Plus, he, not that I’m aware of anyway, never addressed the following games vs LSU. My intent was not to “one up” LSU or anything like that.

Just to express my thoughts and thanks to the community.

LSU and CU had a home and home scheduled for 2013-2014 but Colorado cancelled and replaced LSU with a home game against Fresno State. We Colorado LSU alums had been looking forward to it for six years. Very disappointing.

Regardless, the 2013 Colorado floods ended up happening and as a result the Fresno State game was called off--So even if CU hadn't cancelled the series, that home game vs. LSU wouldn't have happened anyway.

CU is a great place to go to a game. Very different from LSU, but fun. I always pull for CU in Pac 12 games...

Your post comes across as terribly insecure.

Here's a fan of another team posting about that one time his team came into Tiger Stadium and beat mighty LSU. You want to know why he picked that game to talk about?

1. He's a Colorado fan.
2. It's a big deal for a team not named Alabama to leave baton Rouge with a 'W'.

That you can't figure this out, and yet go on to refer to "idiots" in your post is kind of ironical.

It didn't. Some people just can't help being a horse's behind like this clown.

Great post. Thanks for sharing.
