There is not one team in college football that wouldnt be screwed if they lost 1 and 2 QB.

You guys can't be naive enough to believe that LSU would change the offense because a frshman quit. There are tons of teams that would love to have two juniors with a year starting experience under their belt to start a season. That is not only a good situation that is an outstanding situation. Unbelievable.

That is definitely not what I was trying to say. I just think that Russell Shepard will be that good this year that it will automatically take pressure off of the QB.

Why? You've got to take some precautions when things change. It's called stratergization.

We wouldn't be in a much different situation if Z Lee were still here. If Lee and JJ go down we are/were in trouble regardless

..not my point!

my point is IF these two projected starters both go down with injuries and the result is putting a inexperienced walk-on qb in(no matter how good he may one day be) along with the ole miss and other blunders, no scholarship qb's on the roster behind the top two, a poor SEC record the last two years...will all add up for a change.

im not saying im for CLM leaving but i think that to much will be stacked up against him..

Exactly, but at least with Lee, the coaches seemed to have much more confidence in his ability to jump in and play.

Hell, I have no idea though. I'm not at the practices evaluating the players. I was just interpreting what DD was saying anyways.

If any teams #1 and #2 goes down the season is in the shitter.. bottom line.

I wouldn't mind the read-option for 2012 and beyond as I've mentioned quite a few times

Miles isnt going to change his offensive. 1st down is full back motion run up the middle which will only get 2 yards. 2nd down will be a 5 yard pass or a sack. 3rd down will be a option play to the short side of the field which will be stuffed. You can interchange 2nd and 3rd down if you want. I would love the spread offensive they would use the WR's alot more.

I would rather see Gonzales having more influence over the play-calling than Crowton, but doubt that will happen!

how wouldn't it? I understand it will be a running team, but they will still adjust to protect the qb.

At some point in the season one of LSU's qb's will be injured. You can bet at that time there will be an adjustment to prevent LSU's only other scholarship QB from getting injured.

Yes, unfortunately that is the reality of college football today--it doesn't seem like most teams make it thru' an entire season without the starting QB missing at least a game or two.

Bascally every school is fricked after losing their starter anyways. It doesn't matter what team in the country it is if their top 2 QB go down their season is basically over.

Our offense was #112 last year. As Dinardo use to say,"if you don't like the results you better change the way you are doing things.Too bad he didn't take his own advice.

Gary Crowton can have a hell of a play book if he inherits a seasoned QB coached up by someone before he gets there.

I see someone was watching our games closely last year besides the opposing DC.

LSU has several players who could run from the spread offense including Spencer Ware, Sam Gibson, Russell Shepard and Rueben Randle who played quarterback in high school.
Wow! This is so desperate. NCAA equivalent to sand-lot football.
