So I've been monitoring the storms moving into the area since about 5 AM this morning.

It's a lot of rain coming in. Heavy at times. But almost no lightning. Chances are pretty low that this is another McNeese scenario.

I hope WKU is ready to play the ground game though

All that rain outside Tiger Stadium should have no impact on the actual game.

Future radar shows all the rain moved out of the BR area by 6:00 PM.

Keep in mind I'm in CO.

Do they cover the field or is the drainage system sufficient to handle the water. I suspect the latter.

The drainage is a great system now. It actually goes underneathe the turf and runs out in a piped system underneath the playing surface. The guy that does the grass after Bayou fest every year is a family member and he told me how well this new system is.

Its been in for a few years. I just asked him about the drainage last year though. The convo started because I asked him why when it rains you dont see the field holding water anymore, and he told me how it works now. So I would say at least 4 or 5 years.

the field is very capable of securing a quality surface of play despite a challenging rain.

Yep there's not much behind what is in BR right now - slight development in the gulf but it's looking like it won't be the bad for the game tonight.

Edit: The rain in that screenshot is moving roughly south to north.

it should develop more as it moves onshore

but I just mean it's not going to "switch off" there's gonna be intermittent rain throughout the evening. and then sometime overnight/tomorrow it'll stop being intermittent.
