What would you have done if you were Alleva?

We just hired a man whose SEC record at his only other head coaching gig was 3-21, and we are supposed to believe it was a good hire? ??

And Miles sucked at Okie State and came into the house that Saban built and ran up an incredible win/loss record based on the unreal assets of this program. If Miles can win with his hard headed, refuse to bend or change personality, I have all of the faith in the world in O.

What is success for O? Is it beat Bama or bust?

Success is winning the SEC.

Meeting Expectation would be 9-3.

Anything else is a failure.

For this to be a good overall move for the program, O has to win the SEC by year 3, if he doesn't, then yeah it was a bad hire. We should be competing year in and year out for the SEC.

It's a reference to a post he made last night about people preferring things with which they are familiar to those that are new.

The point being LSU would choose O ( the familiar thing) over gambling on something new/different like Herman/ someone else. He was using this as an analogy as to why La keeps sucking.

Just how difficult would it be for you to wait and see what he does with this opportunity? At the very least, you can wait to see who his new OC will be.

In the mean time just enjoy this recruiting class.

Les Miles pumpers would have been happy with Fisher or Herman also. We change once it's done. The only thing that is the same is you applying pumper to the name of any coach you don't like.

I'll admit my 1st choice was Fisher, was not sold on Herman.
There was a coach that was awful in his first shot as HC . Went 36-44 from 91-95. Did not get another HC job for another 5 yrs . In his 1st yr in his 2nd shot of being a HC he went 5-11. That coach is Bill Belichick, the BEST HC in the NFL , Now I'm not saying Coach O is a Belichick , but you can't always judge a coach on their 1st HC job and Ole miss was TEN YEARS AGO , and since then he had a good run as the temp at USC . Those of you that say we'd have done the same this yr with Miles ? You are delusional!!! We would have lost by MORE to bama and probably to AR and who knows what other games Miles would have blown .

I don't know what you're supposed to believe. But I do know that some of you are miserable right now.

Put it this way...what are you gonna do about it?

Where he went 5 and 2, losing to the only two halfway decent teams he played, including one that had basically the entire team injured.

Yep raging success, and I just cannot wait for next year!

Could not agree more. Time will tell for O, but I believe, had he gone the entire year, we would have 2, maximum 3 losses. I expect him to do no worse than Miles. I am hoping for better, but based on his performance this year and his recruiting reputation, I am willing to give him time before judging.

Dude you don't know shite about Belichick. Putting him in the same sentence as O is fricking hilarious. Such as his owner fricked him over while moving a team in the middle of the night? Oh, didn't know that eh?
