Still think it's a shame miles didn't let him throw a pass. Just one. In garbage time of a cupcake, a trick play, something.

I’m just happy that RS is having a very successful NFL career. Who would have thunk it that he would be in his 6th season. Now gets a 5 year pension. He was a great Tiger!

he was my next door neighbor when he was at C-Ridge...Had my LSU flag always outside, spoke to him all the time in the driveway about LSU... During college he loved everything about LSU, and he had a love/hate relationship with Miles.. he said everyone did... loved the man, but hated the offense... I still think Miles greatest fault was not utlizing Shep... he was special, you dont stay in the league 6 years without being super talented... man that guy loved LSU too...

I always remembered Sam McGuffie's highlight tape, but yeah Devine's was ridiculous too

He got killed as a RB. Go back and check out the Georgia game his freshman year.

Here he is in the wildcat as a RB in the Georgia Game. He was not big enough to play RB. I Remember.

sucked as QB

What are you basing this on? He was absolutely amazing as a high school QB, and didn’t play QB in college.

I hope your basis isn’t that Les Miles didn’t see him as a QB.

Miles didn’t think Dak Prescott was a QB either. Glad that complete doofus is gone.

Its actually his 7th season. Unfortunately, he was hurt last week, and has since been placed on IR.

He’s a statistical outlier. A little over half of 5 star recruits are drafted. Only about 40% of 5 star recruits stick around the NFL long enough to be considered a success.

Russell was undrafted, but has defied the odds and he’s hung in the league for 7 years.

Almost all former 5 star recruits that go undrafted are considered busts way before the draft. Very few finish at their original school, and even fewer get an invitation to training camp.

Shepard’s career at LSU never lived up to the hype coming out of HS, but he’s defied the odds by carving out a decent NFL career.

I remember how absolutely flabbergasted I was that he didn’t see the field in a 13-3 loss to Florida in 09. Gee that game sucked.

I remember. It was a recently concussed Tebow ramming his big head up the middle all game long knowing that our one-dimensional offense wouldn’t do shite.

A truly weird game. Our offense was terrible but our defense was equally awful. It was Tebow 3yds, 4 yds, 3 yds, first down all game. I think UF had the ball for 40 minutes.

I think they gave up on him too early at qb. In a malzan type system who knows what he could have done.
