I always liked Little, he was just so damn undersized when he got to LSU. He was like 6-5 210. Nice season he had

While interesting to look at, doesn't mean much. Kids are going to keep going into the portal across college football in search of more playing time or if they feel they aren't getting a fair shake.

Why would anyone downvote this thread? That’s putting in a lot of work, and it tells us how the portal is working or not for players leaving LSU in relation to what it’s doing for LSU.

Yes it does, It shows how terrible your shrimp boat Captain was at recruiting his last few recruiting cycles.

Kole "the Shoe" Taylor had a pretty good season at WVU.

Napier should've reached out to him to put the shoe on the other foot.

Too bad he was often injured and didn't play much in his years at LSU.

A lot of people swore up and down this kid was a playmaker and not getting him the ball was a mistake.

Glad to see Kole had a nice season at WVU. I thought he was the most talented of the players who left.

I saw a preseason depth chart listing him as a starter and it looks like he played all of FAMU’s games. The stats I see don’t break out starts.

FWIW, no stats for a lot of these guys are OL, doesn’t mean they didn’t play. Cam Wire is a starting OT for Tulane.

Probably would have gotten us another stop against Ole Miss and not allow a TE from A&M score on a 40yd run after catch.

Good for Taylor, Little and Small. They all has solid seasons.

Wire doesn’t show stats there, but I’m pretty sure he started at T for Tulane all season. He was good enough for G5.

Interesting and thanks for putting this together.

Relative to the portal, this small sample confirms that roughly 40% of the guys that transferred out (and found another team) didn’t contribute or get on the field while approximately 60% had some level of contribution. Of the 60%, only three players (Taylor, Little and Small) made what I call significant contributions to their new teams.

The portal is a mixed bag and teams have to do their homework in evaluating portal participants and whether they represent fools gold or a diamond. Also confirms that for at least one portion of portal participants, the high school analysis, coaching evaluation and rating services missed and the player just isn’t capable of playing at the required level to get on the field and contribute. Others can play but transfer due to some issue, e.g., disciplinary, playing time, staff change, etc.

Could've used Jared Small. Anything would have been an upgrade from Speights

We know he is great against the pistol. Just ask Clyde.
