If this is the case, you must think ALL coaches can never be wrong? At every level. That all coaches know their players better than fans so every decision is without fault?
A coach could never make a stupid decision, just ask this guy:

No, coaches can be wrong, but they know their players and Mamieri saw that it was hard to get the bunt down and that Jordan was capable of delivering a clutch hit. Yes, coaches can be wrong, but according to many on this site, Manieri is seldom right.

Have you forgotten that Bryce was going to bunt in the AB? That PM didn't trust him at that point to get a hit? But he does when KRob's at 2B. Tell me, why change your mind. If you are will to sacrifice an out with a runner at 1b, then it stands to reason you would sacrifice one with one at 2b. Why not let him swing with KRob at 1st then? Best case you score on a double. Or get 1st and 3rd or 1st and 2nd and you can leave Dawson in to bunt. Right? My point is, if you gamble with Bryce getting a hit with the runner at 2nd, why not a runner at 1b?

that Jordan was capable of delivering a clutch hit.

I was looking at two runners on base and Cresse was in a slump at the time and I was curious and asked Skip at an autograph signing and he gave me his answer. Chill out man.

Fine, but he also told me to my face. He probably said both. We have two different versions. Fine, but leave the name calling off if the discussion.

Because u can hit into a double play when he is at first

Cresse never bunted in his career. He wasn't bunting then, with those bats, in a TIE game where even if you don't come through that inning, you are guaranteed more opportunities. Period. That's why he didn't bunt. Not because Skip didn't think Cedric Harris (ETA: It was Barbier), who already had a hit and RBI that game, wasn't going to come through!

Harris had 10 broken fingers. He probably wasn't coming through there.

I know the reasons. It's a dumb call to not bunt with someone on 1B. And it's almost as dumb to change your mind mid AB because a runner got to 2nd, especially knowing you plant to hit Wofford next... a freshman. At least you give him a better shot with a runner on 3B. Less pressure

Good lord, you are messed up to call him a liar. I know what I heard. Some of you all can't be civil. I trust Skip over what I see sometime on this board.

And if Barbier didn't come through, you had Pontiff...

I understand that coaches make Dumb decisions and that is the case in Super Bowl 49. I think you and I can make dumb decisions too. Anyone can. I just think that coach and Manieri have made a lot more correct decisions.

Then if this OP story is true Skip didn't remember his lineup because I'd trust Barbier, your Senior captain who had a homerun in his last at bat, to get the ball out of the infield there.

I know that the thought never crossed his mind for the reasons he told me. I was curious and asked him.
